  1. Extremely slow people in traffic. If you know where you're going, then go! Often I see drivers coming in and out of parking lots, or from intersections, and they creep forward in a snail's pace almost stalling the engine. Come on, you can't be that timid and be allowed to drive.
  2. I didn't know so I had to consult with Google. The answer is no. A quick search tells me we have around 4 ships, so a handful of ships I would say. If Russia wants to invade all we can do is have beet soup and vodka ready. Edit: We have NATO and so far a good relationship with USA, so yeah, hopefully that doesn't change :D
  3. I think it's because laughter is sometimes a defence mechanism. If used as such then suddenly the dam can burst.
  4. I'm gathering a bunch of friends to go see it next week
  5. You look a little like the drummer Chad Wackerman. http://cdn-x.drummerworld.com/pics/drumpics2/chadwackerman.jpg My jaw is not quite as small, but I see some similarities. They end pretty quickly when you look at the hair
  6. Drivers looking for the traffic the wrong way before they pull out at an intersection, and then forgetting to look for traffic where it's closest. Today's mainstream pop music. Tomato in a burger. Europe's defaitist way of upholding its borders. Feminism. Algebra. Anything requiring high intellectual power.
  7. In Canada refugees is worth more than its own citizens. Say you're a refugee and all the SJWs will fall on each other trying to help you.
  8. I will watch it too. As a WWII history nerd I have no choice, and I like that it's a story that has been somewhat forgotten.
  9. http://static.rogerebert.com/uploads/movie/movie_poster/in-the-heart-of-the-sea-2015/large_large_uekIGnzTACciWrfR7jOuof7xHgR.jpg I've known about the story of Moby Dick but never read it, or seen anything off from it. The story is tremendously captivating and works on so many levels. This movie is very good, however, I wonder if they could have cast someone more fitting than Chris Hemsworth. Someone who doesn't look that much Hollywood.
  10. The acoustic and electric guitars in reverb, the singer's voice, which is somewhat like a less coarse Dido, and the whole vibe.
  11. You do look great, I have to say. :D Thank you :). I do feel great.
  12. An honorary niece of mine, to whom I'm very close, fell for a guy a few years back. He told her that he worked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and that he was giving it up so that he could stay in the Cincinnati area, with her and their 2-year old daughter. I met this guy once, and he seemed like a really good young man. It was all a lie. Not only did he never work for the Buccaneers, he had never even left his home in Cincinnati. He was still living with his mother. His entire life was a lie. When my niece found out, she dumped him without blinking an eye. As far as I know, he doesn't even come visit his daughter. Morgan, my niece, is so jaded. I don't think she will ever trust another man again. :( :( I think I can understand her. It would take the courage to be vulnerable again, and thus risk being hurt all over again. To me the risk is worth it. I hope she does find a man worth trusting because both you and I know they exist. How one can keep lying like that is beyond me. I of course lied when I was younger to get out of trouble, but my conscious has always been strong so I felt bad about it. Besides it's very telling when I'm being insincere. My face and body language give it away quite noticeably. I don't know if this is silly but I have this psychological litmus test I perform every day: Can I stand looking myself in the eye while in front of the mirror. I can quickly feel if I'm not aligned.
  13. Some years ago at a party me and some others were talking with this guy, who told he just came home from Afghanistan. Soon we found out he was lying, when someone said "you've been at home the whole time, I've seen you every day". Another one, who I've actually shared an apartment with along with another friend, was caught lying too. He was caught lying fairly often, quite pathological. When he was living with some other friend this happened: His hair had been cut really bad so his friends asked what had happened. He told the hairdresser had done it, and that he had refused to pay. One of the friends went to the bathroom and found a hair trimmer and cut hair everywhere. He refused to admit he had cut his own hair. When you run into pathological liars it's kind of scary, because they're so clearly detached from reality.
  14. Had lunch with my mom at a boat café and took her to a museum and saw the history of mankind through ancient times.
  15. May I suggest Flickr? It's free, you can make it private, you get oodles of space and you keep the copyright.
  16. Enjoying beer on tap and gazing contemplatively into the distance :D
  17. If you need a new place to host pictures then I can recommend Flickr. It's free of charge, you get 1tb of space, and you can set the pictures to private. That's what I use. Works like a charm.
  18. Dressed like a gentleman :) Why not a v-neck pullover? That way the tie comes more into its place, I think. Just a suggestion to an already proper style.
  19. The part with the steamroller still makes me laugh no matter how many times I've seen it. "Shut up! We did not lose Vietnam! It was a TIE!" :rfl: Samurai Cop (Rifftrax Live) Just like the aforementioned Troll 2, one of those bad movies you have to see to believe like The Room, Manos and Birdemic. "You're tearing me apart, Lisaaa"
  20. How about those who grab their nose shut while they sneeze? I tried that once and nearly blew my eardrums out. And then we have those who make little laser sounds when they sneeze ... peew peew peew :D
