  1. Karen hit me with this one, had to forward. A Chinese man is suing his wife for divorce. The judge asks the man his reasoning for divorcing his wife. The man says: "I no come. She no come. Baby come. How come?"
  2. Nice Motley Crue reference!! Good riddance to the scumbag! Just like that piece of garbage stepping down at JUUL. Actually it was part of a sign posted in a bar attached to a bowling alley in Detroit I frequented from my early teens that stated "If you are under 21, don't..."
  3. Not Even Close. Early Seger, Alice Cooper, and the MC 5 would kick all these guys asses. I saw Uncle Ted blow Aeroshit off the stage at the Silverdome. Robin Trower and James Dewar would cream these pansies! And don't even get me started on Jeff Beck, EJ, Billy Gibbons, etc.
  4. Outstanding! At the show in West Palm Chevrolet Performance Parts displayed a 69 Chevelle Malibu, one of which I had once owned. But this baby was all resto-moded out-black on black and a SP 383 small block (435 hp, 450 ft. lbs. @ 5600 RPM), nasty!
  5. Their car auctions are actually even broadcast on the NBC Sports Network! It's fun to watch and dream. Yeah, somehow the $29.99 I have to spend on a classic car never seems like it'll be enough. I'm not really into cars too much, but I am always impressed by the condition of those cars, the loving care someone has been giving them, and the sheer scale of the enterprise. Car people are REALLY into their cars. I kind of assumed Geddy would be selling a bass or two . . . A few years back I spent a day at the Barrett-Jackson auction during its annual run in West Palm Beach, and yes, loving care pretty much describes it. Fantastic beasts!
  6. I've watched the first three and they were great. I have a fondness for documentaries and especially ones that are about music or the people performing the music and these are some of both. I think it's interesting to hear some of the stuff my dad did when I was a kid like the yodeling parts of some songs. I thought my dad was just doing that and didn't know that it originated in old timey country music. Also interesting to see very young people like Johnny Cash and Roy Acuff. We have seen the first two so far and really enjoyed them. Like FG with his dad, my dad used to talk about "ol Hank" and how good his songs were. I knew Hank Williams had died from drinking but I had no idea he was still in his 20s and had written so many classic songs. The series is really worth a watch. Alcohol and Chloral Hydrate, the classic Mickey Finn, from whence came the term "slip them a Mickey"-and not a malt liquor.
  7. Killer acts lined up for the Iridium in NYC, including Halloween with The Tubes, who will be playing Completion Backward Principle in its entirety. Carl Palmer Legacy Project, and Eddie Palmero's Big Band's The Night of the Living Prog (music of Yes, Pink Floyd, and King Crimson). Sick, wish I could go!
  8. But won't the other dogs pick on him over the shaved leg? They won't let him play in any doggie games..... :o ;) God, how dogs know? Less than two minutes after I let Rocky out he's jumping on a screen door. I inhale a cup of coffee and away we go. Said "hi" to the regulars at the park as our dogs cavort, or limp, in the dog area. One of the gang was also back after a month's abscene due to removal of a malignant tumor on his ear. Yeah getting old sucks for dogs, too. Everything 's cool. Why are you thinking that dogs would behave like Humans in this way? They DON'T in MY experience... And if they did, I'll handle it, as befits my former occupation back in The D. Gack, the evil misdirected quote and edit. Deleted!

  10. But won't the other dogs pick on him over the shaved leg? They won't let him play in any doggie games..... :o ;) No, because I go around 8 on Sunday morning to this particular dog park. It's a small group of regulars, and for the most part dogs & owners are ok.
  11. Yesterday Rocky's bandages were removed for the last time. Part of his leg is smooth, having been shaved pre-op, but the vet has declared him fit. His appetite is back, and boy is he going to be surprised Sunday morning when he finds out he's going to the dog park for the first time in a month.
  12. He'd be "cuttin heads" with the likes of Vai, Satch, SRV, and EJ.
  13. Today marks the 49th anniversary of the passing of James Marshall Hendrix. :(
  14. If I ever get back up there the Zoo and the Gilmore museum are musts. Along with a pilgrimage to the Eccentric Cafe.
  15. Last week John was flown to a facility in the Atlanta area that specializes in traumatic brain injury The local police benevolent association in sponsoring a casino night on the 28th, where I will be injuring myself in the practice of dice degeneracy.
  16. The amazing Andreas Vollenweider! Afterwards VH1 started its weekly "New Visions" show, and it was on. Andreas, Shadowfax, Michael Hedges, Al DiMeola, Chick Corea Electric Band, the lot.
  17. Playing his Best of CD, dreaming of life in Trinidad. RIP Eddie. :(
  18. Still have little idea where Dorian is heading. If it doesn't turn North, we could get whacked. Will spend tomorrow closing up the hurricane shutters and getting loose items secured. All this X factor bs has me shook, and a healthy dose of prayer is being included.
  19. Taping and watching this season of Battlebots. It's robot fighting time.
  20. The original Bullit Mustang will be up for bid at the Mecum Kissimmee Auto Auction, Jan. 2-12, 2020.
  21. Happy Girthday Blueschica! :dweez:
  22. Goddamn media has everybody jacked up over Hurricane Dorian. Even though it look like it will pass North of us, people are in a frenzy. Hit 4 gas staions trying to get some fuel into the car. Most staions are out of gas or down to premium, at 50 cents more a gallon. Of course, folks are trying to jockey their cars like they're breaking from the gate at Rudioso Downs. 2 hours ago the police media section reported officers were called in to monitor the nutbags trying to get gas at the local Costco. Jeez!
