  4. Aww... :( Of course, not being a response my disappointment is somewhat muted. And this ain't no response neither. :)
  5. yeah... as an avid enthusiast of devote musicians, this word alone is enough to get me to walk the other way. That is the one word that gets under my skin, too.
  6. The family tree filled in a few holes that I didn't know about. I also like the depiction of the master tape cover and the historical record that it shows with all of the catalog numbers and dates and such. Haven't listened to it yet, but I can't help but continue to feel this was a missed opportunity. Missed opportunity? How so? I haven't bought this yet. On a completely unrelated note, I did get ABC 1974 and The Garden picture disc album. It's so pretty! :) I meant that maybe they could have added songs from the first single, the "vault" version of Working Man with the alternate solo and/or the Laura Secord show for starters. But just thinking about it now, the record label probably didn't want to pay for the rights to use any of that. Garden picture disc is pretty, isn't it? Yeah, a 45 with Not Fade Away would have been cool. I don't think Rush has anything in the vault (at least, I think I remember hearing Geddy say that years ago...they don't have "a vault" with unreleased tracks or outtakes...what we hear is everything they've recorded). Of course, my memory could be faulty. The Garden picture disc is gorgeous! :)

  10. I've been reading a lot of medieval history lately. Combine that fact with with a new Netflix subscription and I have been digging into the documentaries. I really enjoyed the Monarchy series with David Starkey. It reviews English/British monarchs from Alfred the Great through Queen Victoria and is quite well done. The Elisabeth documentary (Queen Elisabeth I) is also very good.
  11. I drifted away after Season 5. I'm not terribly impressed with Live Another Day, it feels pretty rote.
  12. I agree. I thought is was quite well done. A perfectly cromulent episode.
  13. Happy Anni, aikenrooster! :) :cheerleader:
  14. YourLion! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-greet015.gif This is not a response. I'm merely curtseying to a gentleman. :hi: It's been too long since I made use of that smiley. How are things? (this still isn't a response..and any answer will be off the record and also not considered a response) It's been a challenging few months, but things are well. I hope they are with you too. :) It has been too long. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-greet015.gif And I'm still not writing a response, so you didn't read this, okay? :D

  18. Surely this quote demonstrates my commitment to not responding. In for a penny, in for a pound. 110% This is not a response neither. CygnusGal! :hi: :hi: Babycat! :) ETA: this does not constitute nor imply a response in any way
  19. Lately, for me, it's been The Garden. I love his tone, his phrasing and his melody and I see a soaring bird in my mind's eye when I hear it. La Villa (Lerxst in Wonderland) has always been my favourite from Alex. I can *feel* his guitar.
  20. It's a strong argument. And, I certainly agree with your statement if I'm only counting their live albums. http://www.thescifiworld.net/img/smilies/galactica/cylon/cylon002.gif
  21. I've always considered them hard rock or prog, but they're Rush, so they get their own category. Like Primus, which strangely, gets its own music category on my iTunes.

  23. That may very well be the worst song selection for a wedding that I've ever heard. They covered it well enough, but talk about a buzz kill for every guest over age 6.
