  1. It's been common knowledge for a while that they record the shows. I would like to see some of those shows released the way King Crimson has done it, a website with flac or mp3s for sale.
  2. or at least the google image part
  3. Love the latest pics. Geddy's hair is like a lion's mane. Keep them coming.
  4. I've been going to their shows since 1982 and I have never seen a bad one. They always seem to be on and I have never had a complaint. I've seen a lot of good shows by a lot of good bands, but Rush remains number one. The closest I've come as far as an exciting and rewarding experience lately is Muse. They put on a GREAT show.
  5. ^^^Thanks, here's a (hopefully) working link... Rush frontman Geddy Lee turns 60: Catch the witness, catch the wit of this birthday list | cleveland.com
  6. Can you imagine the debates around here if some of those songs were left off the albums and later showed up in a box set? Blows would be exchanged and there would be bellows of rage for leaving such masterpieces off the album they could have been on. :P

  8. Don't skip, don't shuffle. Rarely listen to Caress Of Steel.
  9. I like how he ended it. "It occurs to me that we humans have our growth rings, too, and like even the mightiest tree, the heartwood retains the memory of being a fragile little sapling. But we don't dwell in those times, or in those Shadowlands. We live on days like these..." There were lots of good pictures of the guys on their bikes too. Brutus looks about 70, but biker 70. If you click on them they are huge. My favorite... http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z437/drbirdsong/Lake_Mac_18.jpg Neil's head seems to be slowing oozing apart in the reflection. Bring on the Vapor Trails remix/remaster. It should make for interesting debate around here.
  10. I can see a little asian woman saying this in my head. Winner.

  12. I lot of groups went a bit nuts with the longer CD format and a lot of filler was thrust upon the world. I don't put Rush in that category, but these days you can make playlists on your favorite device or burn your own CDs so it all evens out in the end.

  14. Thanks, try this one... http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z437/drbirdsong/WeirdOne.jpg
  15. I want to watch that again. Doesn't it start off with Michael Keaton driving while listening to the Rolling Stones' Jumping Jack Flash? Think hes humming it to start, as he makes his entrance. He does drive round listening to a great fast live version, when he buys a new car, from all his pimp money. Winkler and keaton are a great duo in this. Keaton was so cool back then. Best line: "Loooooove brokers!"
  16. I saw Sssssss years ago when it was new. I had forgotten it until now. Thanks for re-boring me. What a turd.
  17. It just won't be the same without all the wooden acting. George Lucas is the only man in the world that can make Samuel Jackson seem mediocre.
  18. I tried coming up with a squirrel pun, but everything I thought of was nuts.
  19. I heard Geddy was going to drop some antacid for his birthday.
  20. For the last few years I have been backing up all my music onto DVDs and I'm now working on my madness inducing catalog of King Crimson recordings. I'm up to the end of the Fripp, Wetton, Bruford era and just got to USA. I cannot believe they improvised this song. It is so amazing and I hadn't heard it in years. I still have the vinyl and after a minute or two of listening I dug it out and played it very loud. It is incredible. I'm wallowing in King Crimson heaven. http://youtu.be/SMYCQa5keaI
  21. http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z437/drbirdsong/BehindTheCandelabra.jpg Whenever there is a free preview weekend for the HBO channels or the Showtime channels I go through the guide and DVR anything that looks vaguely interesting. I got through about five minutes of two pieces of crap and then started this one full of doubt. Holy cow, Michael Douglas was amazing and it was the most emotional performance I have ever seen Matt Damon give. There are a lot of straight guys playing gay guys and they must have had a blast because it was a pretty good movie. I suspect it's not very true to life, but pretty darn good. Applause to all involved.
