Principled Man
.........Rian Johnson? http://pmcdeadline2.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/rian-johnson.jpg For whatever reason, J.J. Abrams will be directing Star Wars VII and then Rian Johnson will take over for VIII. Johnson is reportedly to write the script for Episode IX. This could be good news for us Star Trek fans, as Abrams will now have more time to make more films for US..... :laughing guy: https://www.yahoo.co...9382761352.html Edited June 21, 2014 by Principled Man

Principled Man
lots of mixed feelings about this new trilogy. Im expecting it to be better than 1-3, but still unmatched to 4-6. I expect the dialogue and the special effects to be better. As for the storyline and the acting, we'll see...... Speaking in general about Star Wars fans, the biggest mistake that we all make is having rigid expectations of what the next film(s) will be like. IMO, we should take the new films on their own, without comparing them to Episodes IV, V and VI. If we set the Original Trilogy on a super-high pedestal, then no new film, no matter how great it is, will ever be "as good".
Presto-digitation
Johnson directed arguably the best hour of dramatic television in recent memory, Ozymandias from the Breaking Bad series.
ReRushed
JJ Abrams knows he's going to mess things up, so he wants a good director to fix it.

USB Connector
The good news is that Abrams won't be directing more than one star wars film. The bad news is that he'll probably be focussing on the third Star Trek film. They already have Roberto Orci as the producer. All they need is Rick Berman as the lead writer and they'll have the ultimate team of hacks making it.

He's not all bad, he helped hit a winner with Piller in DS9 and of course had a big hand with TNG.Just don't count the other series I suppose :D Edited June 27, 2014 by Del_Duio

Berman was fantastic up until he decided to pitch Voyager. I think that the moment he got that approved he started going senile.
Principled Man
Wouldn't it be interesting if they got Nicholas Meyer and Harve Bennett again? Bennett may be retired, but Meyer may be available..... Edited June 28, 2014 by Principled Man
invisible airwave
Looper was cool. The Brothers Bloom was another good one. I still need to see Brick, though.
