You and me both. Actually, I was going to go but then something came up and I couldn't. Is fine, but, now I find myself thinking about next year.

So I’m finally settled back in my little humble home here in Sacramento California. WOW what fun we had in Toronto. Let me first say the people who I call my Rush family are just some of the nicest people. They
all received me (a Rushcon newbie) with open arms. It was like I have attended all the Rushcon's.  All the Guest speakers’ were awesome. It was really cool getting to talk one on one with them during the break
(nothing serious just casual!!!  A bunch of us cornered Kevin Anderson in the elevator on Saturday at the hotel. I offered him $1000.00 to spill the beans on his special news. He wouldn’t do it. He was a pretty
cool guy, real down to earth.

By now you have all heard the special news about the 2 Rush related books he is writing. Lotus Land
absolutely rocked the house Saturday night. The crowd was great and we all had a great time like at a real Rush show. Man they were well worth the wait. They played all songs with passion and heart.

Sunday we played a few games etc and then the auction!! Wow some great stuff was auctioned off for
charity! Sunday night we went to The Orbit Room and watched The Dave Barrett Trio. They were great also.
Just wish they had a vocalist to do some songs.

Anyway I have lots of pics but do not know how to post them. My wife will help a little later and post on Facebook. The one thing I did not like is I had to come home. I met some great people and can’t wait till next year somewhere in the USA (Midwest was announced for next year.)

thanks for sharing.  I had thoughts about going but I'm insecure in a crowd of strangers, so that held me back.  perhaps I may attend a future Toronto RushCon get together.

My advice:  go.  Always go.  I've gone for the last... 9 years?  Really?  Wow.

Won a signed drum head this time.  For some reason they've let me on the stage 2 years in a row after I've had some adult refreshments to bolster my obnoxiousness.

Always a blast!

(but I lost my passport this time, delaying my re-entry  to the states - don't do this)

I went a few years ago and it was okay. If you go as a newb and by yourself, you may feel left out. There is a clique of people who have been to all or almost all of them and spend a lot of time together, drinking well into the wee hours and going places the locals know about. They aren't exclusive, but aren't too inclusive either.

If you do go, you'll probably have a good time just because you'll get to see Anthem Records and meet other, like-minded people as far as Rush is concerned, but there is quite a bit of dull stuff too. Then again, Rush hasn't "written the soundtrack for my life" and I have many other important interests, so maybe I'm not the SuperFan those other folks are.

OK I have been meaning to ask. Does anyone have a recording of Lotus Land. I was there and wanted to see if someone could burn me a DVD of this.
Thanks
Robert
