Got my Floor 2 2nd Row Seats today through Ticketmaster Auctions for $260 a piece.

So you're the one that outbid me comp26.gif

I ended up with Row 4 Geddy Side, really nice floor seats 653.gif

These auctions aren't that bad, considering what the seats are listed for on e-bay and scalper sites.

Row 2 is a great place to be, enjoy the show, excellent ticket score.

Be sure to turn around during a tune and wave to the rest of us 2.gif

Birmingham, although much more aesthetically pleasing, is nowhere near the arena. The Post Bar sounds good, but do they have food? I've never been there.

Here's a better option in my opinion: Park at Greektown and meet up at a restaurant/bar so people can drink and eat if need be, then for 50 cents we can pile into the people mover and get off right in front of the Joe. Then when we get out we can meetup and take the people mover back to Greektown?

Any thoughts???

Damn that looks like some awesome pizza. I'd be all up for that.

Their pizza totall kicks @ss and is right in Greektown and the people mover stops there. I'm not afraid to get on it if I'm with our posse! lol

Anyone else on board?

Greektown parking garage is here:

1001 Brush St

Detroit, MI 48226

(313) 961-8322

NOTE THAT THEIR PIZZA'S TAKE 45 MINUTES TO COOK (Chicago Deep Dish style), SO IF YOU WANNA EAT, KEEP THAT IN MIND...

Here's my proposed plan. Any suggestions??

That sounds cool. I'd be in if everyone else wants to do that. I think we're going to stay at the same hotel we stayed at last summer for the DTE show, which is in Auburn Hills right near the Palace.

That should work out good for us. It will give our daughter a place to swim too.

I am just trying to throw together a sensible plan. That should be good for you and your family. Kids love pools. I stayed at a hotel near the Palace after a show one time and in the morning I looked out the window and saw tour buses. Deep Purple and Dream Theater stayed the night at our hotel! wink.gif

some more food for thought. or is it thought for food? fishbones is a seafood/ cajan place i'd highly recommend in greektown. they serve beer wine cocktails and also have fresh sushi.

HEY!!!!!!!!!

that was MY idea!!!

laugh.gif

either place is fine with me.

the People Mover will get us to the Joe from either place.

I don't think The Post has food either, but it would be a fine place to go to BEFORE the show for some pre-show libations, and a great place to go to for after show libations...

should do do a poll, perhaps? and majority rules?

OK, I did steal the idea from Ladirushfan80! I considered Fishbones before but so many people either don't like seafood (like EX-girlfriends) or are allergic to it and thought Pizza would have a much higher acceptance rate or I would have mentioned it before. As far as the Post goes, maybe after, but THEY DON'T HAVE FOOD AND DON'T HAVE CHAIRS.

Who's up for doing a poll?? (Great idea Ladirushfan80!)

Here's what what I envision the poll looking like:
