blueschica
I saw this in the news. :( I hope he is ok after some rest. I used to play my "Eat a Peach" and "Brothers and Sisters" vinyls until they practically wore out. It's so odd to look back and realize that was around 1973- The Allman Brothers were huge and I had never even heard of a small Toronto band called Rush . . Blue J
:( Sad news. The article in that link is very vague, as far as what the health problems are...I know he had to take some time off from performing altogether in 2008, when he was suffering from hepatitis. I hope he can get healthy enough to tour again, or just to live longer. He has given so very much music to the world over the past...50 years, going all the way back to the Allman Joys. I noticed the first performance he plans to make it back for, the Laid Back Festival, is October 29th- the anniversary of his brother's death. Gregg will be 69 on December 8th. foghorn-leghorn
All the best Gregg. The loss of Warren Hayes and Derek Trucks from the Allman's, must have been a huge blow for him. Amazing that he has kept going. Music is obviously his life.

stoopid
It shouldn't be too serious if he has a return date set. I kinda remember being at an Allman Brothers show. :smoke:
