blackhawkrush
Gornik 3 Wisla 2 :| All the talk before the game was about containing Angulo. It didn't work, he scored a hat-trick. Nevertheless, a good away effort, giving some hope for the future...

Brucey
Football!! It's back, thank goodness, I need my crack. Aston Villa 1-1 Hull, on the opening day of the Championship season, pleased enough with that given that Villa are the favourites for promotion. Grosicki got the assist by the way, I'm hoping nobody stumps up the cash for him because he could rip this league to bits.

That left Kamil playing on the left side. Perhaps his right foot is better than his left. We never got to find out, when he had his international caps.

His left footed crosses are either hugely under hit or hugely over hit, so he either does that or cuts inside and shoots with mixed results. On the right, he can beat his man and put in a decent cross. Ta da! I want more of that, simples

But even if he makes one good cross out of five playing on the left side, he's still too valuable of a player not to have in the line-up. Besides, he does more than just centering passes. He can really be creative at times.

Brucey
Hull 4-1 Burton. First meeting between the two sides. Hernandez bagged a hat-trick. Grosicki finally got his first goal for us, via an unexpected source....his head. He missed an open goal in the first half so it's a good job he got that one right!

pjbear05
An interesting day in the BPL, Rooney brings it for Everton, and Watford gets the equalizer late. Dog of the day was Chelsea v Burnley. Sorry, but IMHO that red card on Cahill was shite. What say you? Edited August 13, 2017 by pjbear05
blackhawkrush
Wisla 2 Cracovia 1  Piatek gave the visitors the lead in the 25th minute. With 15 minutes left, Cracovia had to play with ten men. That's when Lopez went to work, scoring twice. Wisla in 1st place, :) Cracovia in 14th. :(
pjbear05
Man U 4-O West Ham, nice debut for Lukaku, who bangs in 2. Newcastle 0-2 Tottenham after Shelvey gets sent off. Wembley should be rocking for the Derby next Sunday. Edited August 13, 2017 by pjbear05
blackhawkrush
Cracovia 3 Gornik 3 :) Good start, goal in the second minute. Then three strikes from the visitors, and things looked bleak. Two late penalty kicks secured the point for Cracovia.

blackhawkrush
Slask 2 Cracovia 1 :| The deciding blow came with only a few minutes left and the score at 1-1. Referee awards Slask a free kick just outside Cracovia's box, then goes for a video review and changes it to a penalty kick. After the game, all the experts agreed there's wasn't even a foul. Relegation zone for Krakow.
blackhawkrush
Wisla 1 Lechia 1 :sigh: Lopez does it again, this time in the first half, but another opportunity to top the table goes to hell. We're one point behind the leaders. Break for World Cup qualifiers now.
blackhawkrush
Denmark 4 Poland 0 We're still leading the group but now only by three points. Good thing we're playing Kazakhstan and Armenia in the next two ganes because after what the Poles showed today, we'd have a hard time beating better teams right now. Brucey
Oh my ged I forgot this thread! Main update....transfer window is shut now, so we can't sell anymore chuffing players! Grosicki has stuck around and I'm fairly pleased with our signings, all young, forward thinking, both in terms of quite literally forward thinking on the pitch and in terms of sell on value. Also our manager is called "Slutsky" and we signed a player called "Dicko", so I expect the fans to come up with some sort of chant involving both dicks and sluts.
blackhawkrush
Poland 3 Kazakhstan 0 :) Goals from Milik (should've had at least three), Glik (nice header, he definitely knows how to do that) and Lewandowski (penalty kick strike, got robbed of another, where the whole stadium saw the ball behind the goal line except the linesman.) Grosicki showed his speed a couple of times, but his crosses, for the most part, were not very good. The boys top the table, three points clear, with two games left. I'm on free-to-air highlights only now. It's tough but I'm coping just with the loss. Sorry to see your team sink back, good luck for the next season or two!
