KJ's NASCAR Pick'em 2016

I added Chase Elliot's points to Cygnus' total for week 1, and I've also marked any time a participant picked a winning driver; as wins are the official points tie-breaker according to the NASCAR rules. LABT currently holds the lead by that tiebreaker.

Field is tightening. This format is actually pretty fun. I'm already hoping we get a bunch of participants for next year.

I'm impressed with Allmendinger's run with JTG this week, no trickery there, just a hard fought 2nd place finish. I think we could see big things out of that organization going forward.

Chase Elliott was the pole sitter in the Daytona 500, not Austin Dillon. That's 5 points, plus Joey Logano only had 31 at Martinsville. The 142 is accurate.

Chase Elliott was the pole sitter in the Daytona 500, not Austin Dillon. That's 5 points, plus Joey Logano only had 31 at Martinsville. The 142 is accurate.

This won't be remembered as a particularly good race, especially considering the way the action fizzled in the last 30 laps.

But I think it was a great race. The way these cars are handling is terrific. I haven't been so happy to watch NASCAR races in many years. Every week they've been putting on a decent show.

Excited to see how this aero package responds at Bristol.

Not even going to wait for qualifying. I'm going to go with the 31. RCR cars have been running well, Bristol has been one of Newman's better tracks in recent years. Should be a good value opportunity.
