Segue Myles
When I bought Journey's Infinity album, the store I got it from was giving away free giant posters of the cover art like this:http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Music%20Smilies/Album%20ART-%20Journey-Infinity1978.jpg and I still have it! It's the only Journey album I would buy again if my home burned down. Seriously wouldn't have given it a go had Narps not mentioned it! I think I might also have Narps to thank for Montrose as well... I got into the first Montrose album in the summer of '77...I had a friend who had the cassette of it....I bought the Vinyl, and he was amazed that it had the songs in a different order! I explained that on a cassette the time had to be the same as the cassette-Approx. 22 mins per side...Rock Candy, baby! I love that record label! Magic!! JohnnyBlaze
http://heiddal.blog.is/img/tncache/500x500/5f/heiddal/img/old-tattoo-man.jpg Ran into a nude Narps at a nearby wicker stool shop. I begged him to put some pants on before I took a pic. He seemed in good spirits and says "hi everyone".

I've bought all his stuff til the 'Open Fire' album in the early '80s....and Gamma 1,2 and 3....Oh, and Johnny Blaze, Tell me in what incarnation of Ronnie Montroses' bands, was STEVE SMITH in? I can't find anything on the web about his being involved in any way with Ronnie?

I can't find anything on the web about his being involved in any way with Ronnie?I slightly misspoke. Before he joined Journey. And not on any of THE Montrose albums. But he DID drum with Ronnie Montrose. I remember some article 20 years ago in which he briefly mentions playing with Montrose. It's even briefly mentioned here too: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Smith_(musician)
OldRUSHfan
No details though....read through the whole Ronnie Montrose article, and no more is said. Disappointing....I really don't trust Weenie-pedia that much. When I find something wrong, I don't even tell them.....They should do better checking on their sources.... I understand that stuff, I'm just one of those who's NOT gonna PAY for it.....(cheapo) I also wish people wouldn't try to mislead people with this type of shit. I don't have the resources to print anything reliable(proof) here myself, but why put out lies? My experiences are NOT in question except to others.....Being an Eagle Scout, I don't lie, but know one else would ever believe that anyway. tough tookens. Can't tell you the exact magazine issue it was but it probably was Modern Drummer where I read it.
