Alot of the other bands I really like are similar to in some way or influenced by Rush in one way or another. Tom Petty is a pretty interesting muscian because the guy is like a poet. I almost still can't believe this whole heroin thing. You know he feels his music like not many other people in the world and he's given so much of himself to the art and to has been such a major advocate against the corporate moneygoround while at the same time he knows he probably wouldn't be where he is without it. Go!(...)I would go a step further and say the Dead, but I would perhaps go even deeper and say Zappa/Beefheart, but that is about polar opposite from the Dead/Phish as you can get without getting into The Fall's territory.
