Live progressive rock at it's best. So much power compared to their studio efforts. And the solos..........

Pick something else instead Lorraine. Just change it for another album.

I bet Signals would work. Everything after that was sh*t anyway  ...

My man!

I think Grace Under Pressure was their last great work for the record but I love it when you get all excited...

We should appoint Turbine the guardian of this thread to make sure the rules are enforced.

:codger:

:madra: As long as he keeps using words like "mate" and "lads" I am all in. I love that sh*t to be honest...

29. Deloused in the Comatorium - The Mars Volta (Mr. Not)

It's rare that a band's debut album is considered their best, but this is probably the case for TMV. Deloused forms a bridge between punk and prog rock which you'd never expect to work so well. The concept of the album is interesting (as well as the nonsensical lyrics) and it contains tunes that are balls to the walls ROCK like "Roulette Dares", "Drunkship of Lanterns", and "This Apparatus Must be Unearthed" as well as beautifully well constructed rock tunes like, "Eriatarka" and "Televators"... Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, the guitarist and mastermind of the group, is at his best on this album. This album also has one of, if not my all-time favorite closing minute to a concept album. Gives me chills and leaves a bit paranoid, which is a great way to end it!

31. Operation: Mindcrime - Queensryche (a rocket that ignites itself)

It is a concept album and a rock opera, its story following a recovering drug addict who becomes disillusioned with the corrupt society of his time and reluctantly becomes involved with a revolutionary group as an assassin of political leaders. Mind blowing...ahead of it's time.
