As you know I love ABBA!I think Ghost is influenced by several ABBA melodies! I would say that Ghost sounds like a mix of Blue Oyster Cult, ABBA, King Diamond and Goblin.This band is rising up from the depths of Hell into my Top 20!!!Same here. But now it is the almighty GHOST.He even has a GHOST tattoo.It's all my fault to you guys. I told Pat about Ghost right after our Pat DUCK posted the thread about this band.Long story short, I told my buddy about the debut album and he fell in hell I mean in love instantly. They put Ghost in their "International Rock" section. Now I know this is a Swedish band but they lumped Ghost in with some lame Japanese psyche rock band called Ghost.I actually pulled all four Ghost cds out of the bin and told them at the counter that these guys belong in the METAL section.There is not much foot traffic through the International Rock section. Ghost would get more looks in the METAL section.So I got into it with the fukking floor clerk. He had no clue. So he said that they are International Rock. Complete crap but I had to put the Ghost cds back in the shared section. I lost the battle and the war. Lame. Damn I should be a street team leader for this band in North America!! I need to break the curse in October. October is my favorite month of the year and Halloween is my favorite "holiday." This is it!! Ghost in October!! A nightmare of bliss come true!
