blueschica
This place is like f***ing Mecca to some of you people http://www.shootersloft.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/yukyuk.gifNot Mecca, but artists that have recorded over many decades often speak of certain studios having a wonderful sound that is hard or impossible to replicate elsewhere. Sound City, outside LA. Abbey Road studios. Zac Brown recently renovated a historical studio in Nashville and named it Southern Ground. http://www.southerngroundnashville.com Artists and listeners feel that Le Studio had the same type of magic and it is hard to see it decaying. Really, seeing any kind of useful structure getting run down bugs me, I'm always glued to Nicole on HGTV Rehab Addict!!

This is nothing more than clingy nostalgia for fans who cannot let go of something.

Mara
A museum? Possibly, but it would only appeal to a rather minimal number of people. And once they'd made that trek, I can't envision it attracting enough visitors to remain viable. If I had unlimited funds, it'd be cool to buy it and renovate it into some sort of vacation home. I'd leave as much of what it once was intact. Edited June 10, 2015 by Mara
toymaker
April Wine at Le Studio. Definitely looks like a cool place to hang out. Check near the end of the video for some location footage, including a shot of a familiar looking dog (4:25) - is that the dog from the Limelight Rush videos? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlcY_enzwmI Edited June 17, 2015 by toymaker
rushfan88
Apparently this is moving forward. The fire that burned the office part of Le Studio did not affect the actual recording studio which is good news. It has be bought and is being renovated into a museum: https://www.freewebstore.org/souvenirs-of-le-studio/index.aspx?pageid=4089621 http://apologue.ca/245-richard-baxter/?fbclid=IwAR2fGPYODYul6k6iwfOG9fRs2yrt0QmtPazUNtZSiDHFqvr6dvG0rYHJST8

LeChuck
Good to see they're making some progress at least. I wonder if they have any rough timeline on how long this rebuild will take. I'd love to take a trip out there when it's all done and they have the museum and recording classes operational. If they have the guest rooms available to rent that would be even cooler.

rushfan88
I just listened to a podcast where Richard Baxter is asking fans to buy a LeStudio shirt to help with the costs of the restoration project. He mentioned anyone can visit anytime. He just asks people if they would make a purchase or give a hand in the cleanup when they come. Here is the link to the podcast: https://somethingfornothing.podbean.com/e/ep-24-interview-with-richard-baxter-on-saving-le-studio/Here is the link to the store: https://squareup.com/store/rebuildlestudiomorinheights I think this is a worthy cause...
