You must hear White Sister- Fashion by Passion.

my oh my you'll LOVE this.

on spotify go to this album first

Mick

Ok!

What band should we start with that we don't know well?

i'm starting with angel.

You can actually do both. Causr White Sister only has 2 albums.

and Mr Mister is a small discography as well.

Mick

Ooh ok!

I may go with Angel as well!

Let me see what I can find...I have played Angel before but it wasn't like I got stuck into them.

It would be wise to choose artists with large discographies for your desert island. Less likely you'll get sick of some songs

The issue that never seems to be brought up when talking about music you would want on a desert island is how exactly are you gonna play that music? I mean, does an abandoned island in the middle of nowhere have an electrical outlet for you to plug in your stereo? Will they have an infinite amount of the batteries that you need if you got an old school boombox? If your music is on an ipod, do they have a place for you to dock it so it can be charged/played?

I highly doubt a desert island has any of this. So you would be screwed when it comes to listening to music and it would more than likely be a situation like in that Tom Hanks movie

I'm on angel's 2nd album and while they are fantastic. i'm hesitating to even call this AOR,

Aside from some synths......way to heavy.

Mick

DUDE YOU ARE A MACHINE!

I am stuck in bed trying to not give in to depression and you are rocking out.

I think I found the cure!

(I always sound insanely happy but I look and feel like The Grinch).

Mae- The Everglow

Found it..........

What pretty Piano.

Mick

They are a really relaxing band!

Also, one of the greatest emo albums ever:

Copeland- Beneath Medicine Tree

In emo circles it is often to be seen ranked up against Clarity as possibly THE BEST emo album.

The story behind the lyrics is touching as well.

The great thing about this is i'm in the right frame of mind to take in music again.'

i've not been this mindframe in forever.........feels like the light burst into my life again.

I am a bit like that now. I haven't the mental strength to sit and enjoy something new so I am revisiting old favourites. I want to dig into new bands but it all turns me off.

The everglow is stunning BTW.

power pop is a beautiful genre. these bands right amazing melodies.

Mick

Yes! Emo is a loose term btw but they got into that niche.

Copeland are similar but more serious in tone. Precious band. I have yet to hear everything of both these bands but The Everglow and Beneath Medicine Tree are dearly precious to me. I can hear The Juliana Theory's influence on both.

Everglow

Cardiology

Chase this Light

And that's a short list, lol

Mick
