Folks, don't get old. Seriously. Always some new physical complaint.

The latest is this: a burning sensation that started on the upper part of my back (shoulder blade area). Almost like a rug burn. Today, it is the same with the addition of the same sensation going down the inside of my arms from shoulder to wrist.

Anyone ever heard of this or know what it might be? I don't go back to the doctor until May, but can always go sooner if I have to.

You guys, keep your fingers crossed for me . . . . some weird kind of something gave me awful stomach cramps for the last two days and my son's wedding is on Saturday. They were so bad I finally called the Dr. this afternoon and they couldn't fit me in so I had to go to the urgent care clinic. They made me drink some awful green stuff but it worked for now so I hope I'm past the worst of it! It's the worst timing ever . . . . :(

Keeping fingers crossed tight for you, my friend. I think maybe the stress or anticipation may be contributing.

All will be well.

Have a safe trip, take plenty of pictures, and hurry back to tell us all about it. :) :hug2:

Thanks, guys, lots of weak tea with sugar seems to be helping as well. Hoping if I get a good night's sleep it will help a lot! The hugs help! Edited by blueschica

Definitely sending you best wishes that the worst is over and you will enjoy the wedding in good health! :hug2:

And I second what Lorraine said--we can't wait to hear all about the wonderful occasion! :)

Ah yes, getting old, a pain in the arse.

My knees have been on again, off again before, but now my left knee seems to be acting up more. I have situations where the inner left joint will lock up unless I move the knee a certain way.

Is this bone on bone damage? I'm wondering if I need to see a specialist. I could probably hold out until next month and ask my PCP when I see him if the pain doesn't get too bad. Thank God for Absorbine Vet LIniment!

Maybe ReGor will check in with you. He has had a lot of knee trouble and an operation on them too.

I have problems with my knees too. All different places at different times.

But it is true that getting old is no picnic. New aches and pains all the time.

Send a prayer or good thoughts ReGor's way right now.

He's having his knees operated on.

Thanks everyone...I really appreciate your positive thoughts and prayers. Home yesterday...cats sleeping with me. (Osbourne was giving me that, "everything ok bro?" kind of look). Happy to have that behind me and now for the recovery process to begin. Should be hiking and back on the mountain bike like a beast by spring. Thank you all again, I can't tell you all how much I appreciate your kindness.

Get well soon!!!

Hey! Get Well Soon Everybody!!!

Maybe once Spring gets here and the sun is out for a little bit we will all feel a little bit better.

The spring flowers are starting to bloom where I am and robins are all around....

Strangely enough, I only saw my first Robin this year on Wednesday...boucing around the parking lot with both my kitties chittering away at it...http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Kitty%20Stuff/Kittyfantasy.gif

Karen told me she saw a cardinal splashing around in the birdbath yesterday. Only the third time we've seen one at the house. Rare for down here..

We don't have cardinals here either. Or blue jays. I miss them because we had plenty of them back on the East Coast.

But we have plenty of crows and woodpeckers and robins. Also, in the summer, lots of little birds (not sure what they are) that sing the prettiest little tune. They flit from branch to branch. Sometimes hang upside down (no, they're not bats!!). I love listening to and watching them.

Just got the news my Grandaughter Alexis was playing and ended up with 7 stitches :o . My poor Toogs! The thing that is upsetting for PopPop & Nana, is that her Mom (my oldest daughter) decided suddenly to move to Kentucky. So she is not even close by to hug and kiss and take out to get therepeutic icecream :(

I know she will be well taken care of, she's a trooper but I still feel a bit saddened by the fact that she in not near. I miss her so much :(

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear this, Crimson! :hug2: I hope that Alexis will make a swift recovery. I'm sure she can tell PopPop & Nana are sending her love! Perhaps you can treat yourself to some of that therapeutic ice cream, too :)

Just returned from the orthopedist.

MRI looks pretty good.

No more surgeries.

Making progress...

...life is good!

Very happy...extremely uncomfortable but happy!

Sorry to hear that you're extremely uncomfortable (hope that'll improve soon!), but I am SO GLAD to hear all of the rest! This is excellent news! :ebert:

Thank you so much!

I injured my knees on 28 March...

It's been a rough year.

I feel happy to be (finally) moving in the right direction.

Chronic pain really ages you.

I'm looking forward to feeling young again in the very near future.
