Daylin
QUOTE (Necromancer @ Nov 21 2006, 06:14 PM) QUOTE (Daylin @ Nov 21 2006, 04:42 PM) QUOTE (CeeJ @ Nov 21 2006, 01:03 PM) It's that time again. I went to the store this morning to get all the things I need for Thanksgiving. I have about 1/2 hour til the PUMPKIN PIE comes out of the oven and the APPLE PIE goes in. The house smells so good this time of year. I missed all of this last year but I'm sure that NECRO will love it when he gets home. Anyway... I bake PUMPKIN and APPLE PIES. Does anyone have a different recipe I could add this year? I am up for something new. Thanks. I'm so happy you and Necro are together for Thanksgiving I shopped on Saturday, for everything. Tomorrow, I'll be baking pumpkin and apple pie, too. Also, I make this once a year. It's a pasta salad. Also will make this tomorrow. 1 cup light mayonnaise 1 teaspoon seasoned salt 1/2 teaspoon celery seed 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste 1/2 teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoons brown spicy mustard 3 ribs celery, chopped 3 large tomatoes, diced 1 bunch green onions, chopped 1 pound cooked shrimp 16 ounces shell macaroni Combine mayonnaise, seasonings, and mustard, in a large bowl. Mix well. Add celery, tomatoes and green onions. Mix well. Add shrimp and macaroni. Mix well. Refrigerate about 2 hours before serving. It's yummy It is a MUCH better Thanksgiving this year. Too bad she can't make pies worth a squat. JUST KIDDING!!! She "forced" me to have a slice of apple pie right after work. It was so good. I can't wait for the pumpkin, but I will until Thursday. Are you sure you can wait until thursday? Anyway, another recipe I have CeeJ, is for mashed sweet potatoes/yams. I usually bake them, but I've tried this before, and it's very good. 4 sweet potatoes or yams (if you make more, just add more milk, brown sugar, etc.) 1 tbsp. butter 1/4 cup milk 3/8 cup brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon Boil the potatoes. Mash them. Add butter, milk, brown sugar and cinnamon, stir. Sprinkle cinnamon over top. I'm hungry now Edited November 22, 2006 by Daylin

failte
alright troutman..i'm gonna try to use some measurements this time... ground beef: we used 1 pound, but there's only 3 of us, you can use more worchestershire sauce: a couple or 6 shakes of the bottle A-1 steak sauce: pour about 1-2 tablespoons (about 2 50cent pieces worth) horseradish: we take a cocktail fork and put about 3 heaping forkfuls in brown mustard: turn the bottle upside down and squeeze about 4 or 5 times tomato sauce: for our baby meatloaf we get the 8 oz can, half in, the other half on top seasoned salt: a couple or 3 dashes from the container should do it eggs: for one pound we used 1 egg onion: about 1/4 - 1/2 of an onion finely chopped garlic: go crazy, i pressed about 6 or 8 cloves cayenne pepper: entirely up to your individual taste, i like "bite" so 5-6 shakes did it for me seasoned bread crumbs: add it a little at a time, until you get the consistency you want, not too wet, not too dry mix with your hands to make sure your loaf is a good consistency. place in pan and shape with channel down the center to collect the tomato sauce you'll pour on top bake at 350 for a little over an hour and don't forget to baste the meatloaf with the remaining tomato sauce, if you use more meat, bake longer of course hope this helps!!!! failte
enjoy!! i learned how to make it from my mom, who doesn't measure anything either. you gotta have it with mashed potatoes (you don't even need gravy if you can make good mashed potatoes) but if you like to do the gravy thing, get some stewed tomatoes (del monte makes them), add some sugar when you cook them up and use that for gravy. oh, and lima beans boiled into soft oblivion with seasoned salt and lots of butter
