driven_to_xanadu
I was listening to Snakes & Arrows the other day and funnily enough could hear a bit of Sabbath influence. It's obviously not all that noticeable though for a band like Rush. The main riff in Stick it Out sounds pretty Sabbath-y also. Snyder80
Good question. One that I don't find easy to answer. Black Sabbath played a lot of heavy, dark material but most of it was pretty plodding by comparison. I'm stupified by this one... Maybe Working Man??? Snyder80
Another one could be Witch Hunt... I think Witch Hunt, lyrically, is eons beyond anything Sabbath ever conceived.

LocalsBandGuy
I can't believe nobody has said it yet........ Repetitive guitar hook. Check In the keys of E or A. Check Could see Ozzy singing the lyrics. Check Instrumental Section used more than once. Check               WHAT YOU'RE DOING.
D3strukt
Black Sabbath hardly played completely plodding stuff. The Wizard, NIB, Fairies Wear Boots, Paranoid, War Pigs After forever, Wheels of Confusion, Supernaut, St Vitus Dance, Sabbra Cadabra, Looking for Today, Killing Yourself to LiveThe Writ, Symptom of the Universe, Thrill of it all, Backstreet Kids, Never Say Die, Air Dance, Johnny Blade, Anything Dio related prior to Dehumanizer. Trashed, Digital Bitch, In for the Kill, Some Kind of Woman, Born to Lose, Nightmare. the list can go on and on.
condemned2bfree
Another one could be Witch Hunt... I think Witch Hunt, lyrically, is eons beyond anything Sabbath ever conceived. The riff at the start of witchhunt, could easily be on an early slayer album
condemned2bfree
Another one I forgot about, The Main Monkey Business, parts of that have Sabbathesque riffs. yeah, always thought sabbath, and maiden too on that one.

grasbo
Broons Bane or Hope =all the fiddly interludes that Iommi used to do.Tears/Changes (the wheezing mellotron).I Think i'm Going Bald/Am I Going Insane, not so much musically but both nonsensical songs.Talking of the heavier toons which i am sure what this thread is aimed at i keep hearing late 70s sludgy Sabbath in Test for Echo. Then there is What Your Doing/Heartbreaker.....err,i think thats Zep.
