goose
Usually a light brown gravy. Nothing to thick. Gotta admit it seems odd to put a brown gravy over perfectly good cheese. I'm sure it's a pork or beef gravy right? Canadian exceptionalism at its finest. It's usually a chicken or turkey gravy. That made it worse...what kind of cheese?Processed Cheese Curds. And Damn is it a good combination. Go Canada!!!It's originally from Quebec...Please continue this conversation in the proper place. http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/topic/85145-poutine/&do=findComment&comment=3005190 Poutine for everybody! jjgittes
You had me at hello, or at least until you used the word "retarded." I have a family member who is a writer for a small town newspaper and he wanted to use that word as part of a story about a sporting event for "mentally challenged" children. The "R" word is pretty much going to be crossed out by any editor these days. But you did such a great job, we know you are not retar......., whoops, I mean mentally challenged.

However, in Europe the word doesn't carry politically incorrect weight. You're right this must be a spoof....did you follow the link?
Tombstone Mountain
With an historic induction in the RRHOF, Rush is now mainstream and simply can’t be ignored any further (having said that, they’ll never appear on our cover). Is he trying to be funny, or is he serious? Talk about damning with faint praise! Right. They can't be ignored any further because they got into some silly hall of fame which means nothing. But Rolling Stone has to be on the winning side. So. Throw the band a few bones. And some crumbs. Don't do us any favors. Please. This gets better over time...thanks Lorraine! You old pro!

The backanded compliments towards Rush are just deplorable. Such mean people. How do they live with themselves?
Tombstone Mountain
I like cheese fries! Just plain cheese fries? Ever tried chili cheese fries? Quite tastyI'll take Poutine over Cheese Fries or Chili Cheese Fries. Poutine? Do tellPoutine is a Canadian thing. You take fries and cover them inx cheese and gravy. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6c/Poutine.JPGThanks for the heads up on this dish. There's no Canadian restaurants here in the smoky mtns, so I put an ad in the local paper to see if there were any canucks willing to have complete strangers come to thier home and try this dish. I had 6 responses. The lucky Canadians were so incredible. A big thanks goes out to Robert and Sylvia Carpentier...wonderful hospitality!

Since no Canadian restaurants exist here I found myself in a desperate situation. Sometimes you gotta think outside the box.
BigBob
I love these spoof reviews and interviews. I always fall for them, because they're so beleivable, but they got just the right amount of wit. 'Andy Ladouche' I lost it at work when I read that.

'Andy Ladouche' I lost it at work when I read that.BigBob glad you enjoyed the Yukon Blade Grinder reporting. Always spot on, always perspicatious. If you enjoyed this thread read the TRF Prediction Thread and Roast of Rushgoober, found in Random Samples or you can just follow the tag below. It features 54 pages of YBG spoofs, and contributions from the Yukon Blade Grinder European Desk. Start from the beginning my friend...it is an epic saga of roasting the most notorious Vapor Troll, featuring writers from TRF. It's been a blast watching people from TRF trying their hand at creative Rush fiction.

Glad you're still feeling it, cause I still chuckle at your response. I was new to this forum, read that article, thought it was genuinely fascinating, posted. Then I noticed Yukon Blade Grinder. Couple of clicks later, I realise I'd been Catfished! Lol I still laugh at how stupid I came across!
