Bad Reputation - Thin Lizzy

Wow...one of my most favourite albums ever.

Going to see the current line-up of Thin Lizzy in NYC on 25 March.

I've loved this band forever it seems.

Really loving it.

You'll love them live, they're BRILLIANT. 1022.gif

Did you ever see Lizzy with Phil?

Yes, saw them open for Queen way back in 1977...that night changed my life!

I got my pre-order of the new Protest the Hero album, Scurrilous. It's awesome! 1022.gif

For those of you who were turned off by Rody's harsh vocals on Fortress and his rather "emo-ish" vocals on Kezia should give this one a chance. His voice has matured really nicely and he now uses few screams and growls, but is able to put some grit in it that wasn't present on Kezia.

I also have a story to tell about an Alice Cooper vinyl I bought a few months ago. I found a copy of Goes To Hell on vinyl for a buck so of course I bought it...

Then when i put it on the turntable, there was this bizarre dance music and I was really confused. Turns out, I bought a Lime vinyl in an Alice Cooper case banghead.gif

I haven't bought anything lately but as soon as I get some money, I'm gonna buy The Suburbs by Arcade Fire C:

Don't, it's terribly underwhelming... IMO, of course.

I have to agree. I was really disappointed, considering my love for "Funeral."

I recently downloaded Barton Hollow by The Civil Wars and am in love.

I'll also agree. There's only a few good tracks and the rest are all crap. Funeral and Neon Bible are much better.

And I know it seems like the opinion of virtually every fan of Arcade Fire, but it's how I genuinely feel. I've listened to Funeral and Neon Bible once each, yet I loved them on their first listen. The Suburbs got a few spins before I realized that I probably wasn't gonna like it.

I was the complete opposite with the Suburbs. Aside from a couple tracks, I wore that album to death for months.

Just picked up these. I know all of them well, but just havent gotten around to buying them until now.

Cut Copy - In Ghost Colors

Echo & The Bunnymen - s/t

The Pixies - Doolittle

Spoon - Gimme Fiction

After watching a Steven Wilson interview where he mentions Sunn O))), I decided to go ahead give them a try and took somewhat of a risky bid on eBay recently and I've successfully won and ended up with this:

Sunn O))): Oracle (1xCD version)

It's funny, cause the artwork implies that it was the limited edition that had the bonus CD w/bonus track that was sold during their 2007 tour even though clearly there was only 1 CD inside. Regardless, I really like what I've heard on Oracle. Although I admit I'm kinda stuck on where to go next with this band, my gut feeling makes me wanna go ahead and buy their recent album Moonliths and Dimensions. I heard a lot of good things about that album and I was wondering if there's any Sunn O))) fans here that agree.

Thin Lizzy - Live in London 2011

The Concert Live disc? Hammy or Indig02? 1022.gif

Indig02...I wish they would make one from the NYC I just saw.
