Not me, I love CA, my favorite album of the second half of the discography easily.
I'll happily remain the goobs of "Hold Your Fire"

Oh yeah I forgot Goobs sucks up to that too.

"Mission" is very good, and TSS is decent, but the rest of that album is bad adult contemoprary/synth pop BS..... imo the Low Point of their career.

I think it's a decent album, but I don't drool over it the way Goober does...

It's a little better than Presto and RTB and T4E...

The very definition of damning with faint praise.

Seriously!

HYF is better than Presto, RTB & T4E combined, and that's taking into consideration the two clunkers at the end.

Congrats, I'm glad you're digging it! trink39.gif

But I do wonder if it's all just an act, and if you may turn on it at some point. ph34r.gif

There's no trenken or Geminirising in the list or any of those guys like ReflectedLight and WCFIELDS because they're usually negative, critical, or they might call it pragmatic, but anyway they're too obvious as candidates so it wouldn't be any kind of surprise.

Seem like this poll is seriously flawed without these guys.

I want to know who the all time, most devoted, hard core, angry, bitter, dissapointed, pissed off Clockwork Angels Hater is going to be (like Rushgoober with VT), and at this point it's got to be trenken. He just seems to harbor an elemental hatred of everything Rush has done since HYF. facepalm.gif

But from your list, it's got to be Pound of Obscure as he already seems to really dislike CA. trink39.gif

I knew there was no way I would make it on that list.

Now if there were a "most annoying TRF member since the Release of CA" Poll. I would be at the top of the list.

Don't be stupid...

There are only two songs I ever want to hear from Presto, Chain Lightning and the especially excellent The Pass. The only song I have any interest in from RTB is Dreamline, and if I never hear T4E again, that will be fine.

HYF, on the other hand, has eight great songs, and while The Pass and Dreamline are better than some of them, it's still a great album.

If the last two tracks on HYF were better, it'd be a top 5 album.

I can't believe I made a list that has "normally positive" in the description. It is quite strange as I am of the opinion that Counterparts was their last good album. I didn't think that was a secret.

So far I have only heard about half of CA and I would say based on what I have heard, it is already ahead of anything they have releases since Counterparts. Unless the half I haven't heard is amazing beyond words I would not put it above anything released before Counterparts.

I guess I aught to listen to the whole thing pretty soon.

You could be the favourite for the turncoat title!

Probably so.

In my opinion the band lost its knack for writing music 15 years ago. They do still have the chops to play it though.
