Thanks Your Lion for that explanation, I never knew how the term came to be!

And yes, I am old enough to remember watching that episode the night that it aired. Tuesday nights at 8, followed by Laverne & Shirley at 8:30. The memories......

And LMAO at the Fonz water skiing in a leather jacket! rofl3.gif

Things I actually remember from that episode:

1. Ralph Malph bringing an ironing board to Hawaii to use as a surfboard.

2. Richie Cunningham telling the Fonz "If you get your legs bit off, don't come running to me!"

That was TV history, I was there.

Brings back memories or the the Bionic man, camera zooming in on his eye to show us he was looking at something really far away...

Every time the Hulk lifted something way to heavy, but you knew it was a prop.

And every time the General Lee made a getaway by jumping a small stream or creek.

Oh, god, I remember all these things. And the closing theme from The Hulk may be the saddest piece of music every written.

OK, I promise to stop derailing this thread into the "Old People Remember TV" thread. smile.gif

Back on topic...

A part of me does feel like the boys are cashing in one last time. The return to "the epic"...written by Neil in what...25 minutes or so, according one news release. The musical reliance on a collection of fan-pleasing jams, as opposed to carefully crafted melodies. The new-millenium hipster steampunk theme...

But this is just a cynical response to all the pre-release hype and the teaser soundbites. I'll reserve judgement for the full release.
