If you could have one of Alex's guitars

Had you asked me before S&A I would have said the 355 but now I may go with the Les Paul he used for most of the S&A show. It has the prettiest inlay I've seen on a Standard as well as a beautiful top. Next in line would be the 1275.

Are you talkin bout the LP Axcess? Post a picture with the guitar and inlay you speak of!

I'd choose the white 355 or this one ^^

This one. Not an Axcess but a Standard with a Floyd on it. Neck joint is standard. It had been referred to as a prototype. Before the Axcesses were released and has a nicer top and inlay than the AL Axcess he played on Time Machine. I think this one is now detuned for 2112 (Time Machine).

The differences are subtle.

Nope. This one is nice, but it is close to one I have, though mine doesn't have a piezo.

Better shot of the inlay. Watch S&A Live to see how the light hits it. Beautiful guitar.

When we first saw that guitar at the Vegas show we were both like "Wow!" after the show. Very pretty guitar that also sounded great.

Ahhhhh... Yes, that is a gorgeous guitar! The flame maple is one of the prettiest woods for a surface, IMO. wub.gif

Those are gorgeous inlays indeed.  Can someone tell me the difference on why they look so good?  Those don't look anything like the inlays on my AL Les Paul.  Is that Abalone or something?

On the fretboard? Yes, that's abalone. I have abalone dolphin inlays and trim on my acoustic cool.gif

Looks like Abalone to me. I have those in my Carvin and mother of pearl in my epiphone and the difference is astounding.

Yeah, looks like abalone. Most of the Gibsons use plastic, but the higher end stuff uses the real deal.
