Amazing Spider Man 2

I think it's about time Sony just hands the rights back to Disney/Marvel because they don't know how to make these reboots done right. That's what happens when you hire the same guys who wrote the Transformers movies. No wonder that studio is in trouble due to the recent hacked emails.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Dumb and Dumber To

I'm gonna watch these when I get around to them, any good?

I'm not really a fan of comic book movies, but I thought Guardians was good and I thought Dumb and Dumber To lived up to the first one.

I watched Guardians of the Galaxy last night and I thought it was good too. A couple of really laugh out loud moments in it, which I always love because it happens so rarely any more.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring.

Theatrical or extended?

Extended. Though I have both versions.

I dont think the theatrical cuts are weak. But the extended cuts are so much better!

Elsa Lanchester is shockingly unsexy in this. But Merle Oberon's Anne Boleyn made up for it. Shame she lost her head.

Laughton is such a ham. One wouldn't imagine he eventually helmed such a work of sublime restraint as Night of the Hunter, based on aesthetics of his Henry VIII. His starring role as Dr. Moreau in Island of Lost Souls a year earlier displays the gravitas I'd expect from him.

His scenery chewing in Henry is something to cherish, though.

My thoughts exactly. There's a shockingly racy (tame by today's standards, but technically NSFW) photo of her as the Bride (I believe taken as an early test shot). She's holding a knife in it. Should be easy to find using TheGoogler.Net or whatever.

I watched The Expendables 3 last night...not as good as the first two.

I saw it the other day. My initial reaction was 'meh'. It seems too lazy for me in that almost every scene and location looks like cheap cgi, and don't even get me started on the helicopter exploding by a remote control. Perhaps 90 % of the budget went to pay the big egos?

Death Sentence

Great movie! Kevin Bacon is really convincing in this one and really delivers. Normally in those types of movie I find it easy to get caught up in the revenge motive, but I ended up feeling a whole lot more than that throughout the movie.
