Principled Man
QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Sep 27 2011, 11:31 PM)also Brewers playing the mighty Pirates for some home field adv. Unfortunately, many, many Brewer fans (and perhaps the players themselves) are putting a LOT of importance on getting the home field. The Brewers were horrible on the road in the first half of the year, but did very well the second half. Many are worried that the Brewers CAN'T win on the road, but I don't think that way. They can win anywhere. The only problem is in their heads.

laughedatbytime
You've gotta love Joe Madden...he's starting Matt Moore (1 career start) in Game 1. Of course he fanned 11 in 5 shutout innings in that start. He gave up four hits and walked one. This is the guy (Maddon) that sent a .108 hitter to the plate with 2 on 2 out down one run last night, and the hitter left the yard to tie the game...
