I'd read a few bad reviews on this and after the last movie, which I classify as horrible and ponderous, I really dreaded going to this film. But alas, two teenage boys control my wallet.

I'm not going to get into a big dissertation on the plot lines, you can read that by people paid to type, but I will tell you that the movie provides a good share of funny moments and double dose of serious eye-candy in the way of epic action sequences and super hot blonde babes strutting in underwear, the light dancing on her little blonde hairs, her tight panties...oops. got a little distracted there....

Anyway, My wife, two boys and I pretty much agreed we enjoyed it more than either of the other Txfr films. A couple of the sequences are ridiculous of course and you must let your imagination stretch, but over all a good film that has some insanely detailed enourmous effects.

BTW, there were some pretty suggestive lines that I felt had no place in a movie written for an 8 yr old. It went right by me, but the wife thought it was inappropriate.

Go see it. Fun. Worth the money in 3D even.

Thanks for the heads up. When I heard the Leonard Nimoy was lending his voice for a key role I wanted to see it but I've been debating because of how horrible the last one was (it was the first time I ever got dozed through parts of a movie).

I'm going to pass. Glad you didn't have to suffer.

How is a PG-13 movie written for an 8 yr. old?

It was... okay. I guess.

The plot sucked pretty hard but they made up for it in the first scene. Also, it was waaaaay too long.

That isn't a "plot" movie...purely for testosterone fueled entertainment purposes. Kind of like a porn flick...

I saw it last night. The movie was clearly meant to be a mindless action flick. Nimoy plays his role well with quite a few Trek references thrown in for laughs. It was a good mindless summer flick but IMO there wasn't enough humor to compensate for lack of plot and the last action scene was half an hour too long.

3.5/5

Took my daughter to see this Wednesday. At 15 yrs of age, she loved it. I thought the constant CGI violence was the equivalent of endless explosive diarrhea caught on film.
