ColdFireYYZ
Bizarre Foods is my favorite. Anthony Bordain's show is good too but I find Bizzare Foods more enteraining. Man Vs Food is okay, but I really think its gross that he forces himself to eat so much so quickly. As for Food Network, I think they all are ridiculous, except for Guy Fieri. nobodys hero
I like Guy. Yeah he eats with his mouth full but we're all sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for his review . I do want to eat at most of the restaurants he has on his show, the food looks that good. I hate Ina, she is the most annoying person. My daughter loves to watch her so she goes to another room to do so Yeah she turned down a Make a Wish boy 2 years in a row. This year Michael Simon and Beau somebody offered to cook with the boy. An absolute bitch: Carrie Vincent on Challenge. I think her headband is too tight!
rushfanNlv
QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Apr 4 2011, 04:53 AM) i used the alton brown method of cooking a steak and it turned out perfectly. probably the best steak i ever cooked. it involved high heat, a cast iron skillet, and an oven. Same here. Damn fine steak. I've also used his Brine for thanksgiving turkey. Everyone raved about it. AB is the best by far. I love watching Diners Drive-ins and Dives by Guy does get on my nerves. Hel-llo, Rachel Ray. I once watched her handle raw chicken, then proceed to open several containers of seasoning with her chicken-slime-coated man hands. It was nasty. rushfanNlv
Have you ever noticed that Sandra Lee's kitchen always matches what she's wearing? The dishes, appliances, drapes etc. all change from episode to episode based on what she is wearing. Drives me nuts for some reason.

I watched her this morning prepare a tradition English countryside dish involving prime rib and orange toddies.

I did his brine and all I can say is big deal. I can make a Turkey perfect every time without doing that again. As far as making a great steak. I challenge anyone on the planet to make one better then I can. I'm serious.

Tick
QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ Apr 6 2011, 10:18 AM) You gonna share your technique tick-ster? Sue why not. Use a great steak like a rib eye. Make sure you preheat your grill good and hot! Marinate your steak 12 to 24 hours. Take steak out of fridge and let it sit till its at room temperature. Dry off steak before grilling. You don't want it wet. Slap that sucker on diagonally across that grill and close the lid. in 3 or 4 minutes turn it to the other angle diagonally to get nice cross grill marks, and close lid. 3 or 4 minutes later open lid and flip that sucker. Leave the heat high for 3 minutes then lower. Do the same diagonal thing as you did on the other side. If you do this as I have told you, you will make kick ass steaks. A nice ribeye will be perfection in 12 to 14 minutes depending on your grill. Edited April 6, 2011 by tick
GhostGirl
QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Apr 4 2011, 05:13 AM) I like Ina Garten. Though I heard she refused some make-a-wish kid and then tried to cover it up (could be untrue). She still makes great food. I like Ina as well. I read about that - I'm thinking things got blown out of proportion... I like Giada too, although I also hate her because she's beautiful, thin with boobs, and can apparently eat tons of food, do a little yoga, and look like a model. My favorite guy is definitely Alton Brown.

He has made numerous food threads in Random Samples prior to food being added to this section. I think my favorite is a Delmonico steak. Other faves are skirt and flank. Funny how I love her for the same reasons you hate her? Seriously though. I'd be willing to bet she works out like mad to keep her form. and lastly GG... You need not always be jealous of other women. Your quite attractive and a natural beauty.
