2-1 in 7th, Atlanta...  Phillies comeback win will be tough against such an awesome bullpen.

Phillies sweep Braves, now 91-48, 10.5 lead on Braves...

Best record in MLB. trink39.gif

That's right, get over confident. biggrin.gif

Never.

The fact is the Braves, the Brewers or the Phillies could go to the World Series, its all about getting to the playoffs and playing well THEN. Being great right now, frankly, doesnt count. If you remember YOU had a nice lead on the Phillies last year at this time...

Notice how I conveniently dismiss the West. Frauds smile.gif lol.....

Meh....I don't know about that.... huh.gif

With about three weeks left in the season, I think the teams that are expecting to be in the playoffs had better be playing well NOW.

They don't have to play .900 ball, mind you, but playing consistently good baseball is a must coming down the last stretch of the regular season. Teams can't expect to just "turn it on" during the last week of September.

From a Phillies fan's perspective I was making the point that of course one has to play great now, but if ones bats go cold in about a month, having the best record in MLB now means little. trink39.gif

Unbelievable. Bard completely melting down was bad. Blowing the game for Tim Wakefield made it so much worse. In fairness, 5 runs in 5 innings is not a good outing, and Tim has pitched very poorly for the last month and a half.

F*cking Jays, man. Help a brother out. smile.gif

MLB Season officially ends for me at 7:30 CDT tonight! biggrin.gif

You just settle down over there.... dazed025.gif dazed025.gif laugh.gif

We're in unchartered waters, so we're gonna have to find a happy medium between our devotion to the Pack and to the Crew. We can bleed Brewer Blue as well as Green and Gold....

Now, if they were both in their post-seasons at the same time......uhh....I don't want to talk about that..... doh.gif
