Both are dire. 062802puke_prv.gif biggrin.gif

You KNOW you put these two songs on every Friday evening, plsying them over and over, softly sobbing your heart out, like a lovelorn eunuch till the dawn's first golden lilt of morning light...

I voted for Jim Croce. I have a very difficult time listening to his stuff, it reminds me of a time when I was suffering through some very dark depression. Heart-wrenching stuff.

Plus, his untimely death (at age 30) is very poignant when you listen to Time in a Bottle or I Got a Name.

Ha. So I put my vote in for a tie. Of equal strength in their songsmithery cool10.gif

Same. Both have a dark vibe going on, the guitar playing is first-rate and the chord progressions and melodies are haunting and gorgeous. I don't own either CD and it's not the kind of music I listen to on a regular basis but I can certainly appreciate the talent.

That's exactly like me, I like these tunes but it's not normally the kind of thing I'd listen to.

I think I lean slightly towards Lightfoot's song
