No Billy Sheehan or Steve Harris included as choices?
Polls generally suck because of glaring omissions that render them bogus.
and I have made some polls myself that have been quite flawed so I'm not throwing stones. It just happens.

I'm a hypocrite Tick because I leave off great musicians too in my polls but to leave off Billy and Steve is insane.

What the HELL? WHERE IS JACK BRUCE?

Roger Waters for the win here. Come on, like you can't listen to Pink Floyd from 1968-1977 without being amazed at some of his playing?

Didn't Gilmour re-record (play) a ton of his bass parts in the studio?

Parts of the 'Animals' album ('Sheep' and 'Pigs') were Gilmour bass tracks because Waters couldn't figure out anything good enough.

Dave also played fretless on Hey You. Maybe it was someone else. Definitely not Roger.

Sorry I left out Jack Bruce. And Roger Waters. And Phil Lynott. All greats. And anyone else I may have omitted. That's why I put other. wink.gif

For some reason though, Bruce seems to me to be the guy Geddy talks about who he met who was drunk and bummed him out. I am amazed that Bruce is still alive. He looks awful nowadays. Just like Baker. I am sure Clapton has had all kinds of plastic surgery that only he out of the 3 of them could afford. rofl3.gif

I've been reserving my vote but I finally decided to vote for John Glascock.

While my true favorite is Geddy, I had to give props to JG. I'm probably the only one who'll vote for him but he was a great bass player. Just listen to the bass line in Tull's Journeyman.

I love Geddy. I love the Ox and JPJ and Macca. But my heart belongs to Queen's John Deacon, who is sadly not on this list.

Yeah Earthshine, all those other Johns and you forgot Deacon? ohmy.gif laugh.gif
