Ru5h F@n
QUOTE (mortkort @ Dec 24 2006, 04:26 PM) just got this little beast as a christmas present http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/mortenmat/DSC00864.jpg i have just played it to check out the sounds on it. it sounds really cool! i'm gonna check out how you play in songs whit it later today My co-producer/engineer who is a guitarist had something similar and would play his guitar in the control room. Apparently it couples any kind of instrument input and outputs it to the an input rating of a mixer or any other audio device such as a sound card in your computer as well without needing mics. LeCCy
Hi All Just saying hello. Been into rush for 25years and have been playing guitar for about the same time. Have gone through alot of gear in that time but all that has been slimmed down over the years. I am currently left with a 100W ss marshall 2x12 combo, boss Gt5, Cry baby, Mxr dist +. I own an old charvel model one ( the wife made me sell the 335 but I have just bought a couple of Charvel Cx291 to turn into Hentors - I have even found an old Bill Lawrence blade for the bridge of one. I used to have a few recordings of Rush songs laying around, just home stuff on the Pc but cant find them at the moment ( which is a real shame coz I had a killer short version of the Fountain of Lamneth ) Perhaps I will get round to doing something again soon. In the meantime I have uploaded some stuff from and old band in the space kindly provided for RF members. Still play once a month at the moment with two friends - we have limelight/red bar/ 2112 / passage / Jacobs ladder down pat ----drums excluded - and are now looking for a cheap synth which will fo a job for those and The Camera eye which is next on our list. Anyways I guess that is it for now!

Here's mine. iI recently found a NOS 1970's Lawrence L-500 for it and thatwas the finishing touch. This thing has the perfect tone for Signals & GUP stuff. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h247/pete2112/My%20Guitars/Hentor9.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h247/pete2112/My%20Guitars/Hentor10.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h247/pete2112/Hentor3.jpg

Soni
aaaah I hate you for that pete!! It's soooooo beautiful! I'm going to turn my squier into a Hentor/signature, it will have the looks of alex's guitar on the Distent Early Warning video and 3 simple EMG's
_pete_
QUOTE (LeCCy @ Jan 18 2007, 04:42 PM) Forgot.....do you have locking tuners on there? Yep. It has Planet Waves locking tuners on it. I know the original didn't have them but it helps keep it in tune. It stays in tune great even without a locking nut.

I have a PRS EG with 3 EMG SA single coils. Those are great pickups and you can get a nice Power Windows/Hold Your Fire tone with them. I've been wanting to build a black one but I have too many guitars now. I know I will eventually do it though. I suppose then I'll have to build a red one so I can have the whole set! LeCCy
>know the original didn't have them but it helps keep it in tune. It stays in tune great even without a locking nut. I wasnt suggesting that it has less value because of that, I have one red and one white charvel to do. One will have a floyd and one a graphtec nut and locking tuners, just wondered how you are getting along with tuning which you have answered. _pete_
QUOTE (Sonilink @ Jan 19 2007, 09:12 AM) the red with the mirror pickguard Well you talked me into it! I need to sell my PRS and I was looking for something with a good trem to replace it. It needed to be cheap too so I decided to just build a guitar. The neck, tuners, nut, and floyd are on temporary loan from my Blue Strat. I got the rest of the parts on ebay pretty cheap. I guess I need to build the black one eventually and have the whole set! http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h247/pete2112/DSCN1747.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h247/pete2112/DSCN1749.jpg

_pete_
QUOTE (mortkort @ Feb 3 2007, 02:53 PM) VERY nice Pete! can you build me one too? Hmm...maybe. Mine were made from a lot of spare parts so if I were to build these to sell I would want to use top notch parts on them like Warmoth or USA Guitars bodies & necks. That would make them get expensive rather quick. I'm guessing that one like the red one complete with matching headstock, perfect setup, and a hardshell case would cost $2112.
1-0-0-1-0-0-1
Awesome job. Pete! That red Strat was always my favorite of his custom Strats, and you replicated it nicely.
alphseeker
QUOTE (_pete_ @ Oct 20 2006, 07:19 PM) I got a new cabinet today (Hughes & Kettner 4x12) so before I hooked it all up I cleared out the living room and set up all my stuff for a little photo shoot.
