Riv
Do you guys play these kits, or change the heads for photo ops?
CygnusX-1Bk2
I change heads for recordings and for performances if they've been on for a couple months. The Evans heads on my kit didn't last long. They sound mushy so I changed them to Pinstripes for a recording project. I had a high profile performance last month so I changed them to Attack on the toms and a coated Ambassador on the snare. Through my buddy at GC who's got an Attack endorsement deal I "re-headed" my whole kit for under $40. It was around $50 for Remos. Needless to say despite the size of my kit heads don't cost me much. I change them as often as I can. My buddy at GC changes heads after every performance. Edited December 12, 2006 by CygnusX-1Bk2

Ru5h F@n
The problem I had with drums was I couldn't get the synchronization of the high hat and the bass drum. I could only play one or the other.

launchpad67a
Holy shit Kazz! Your set has been breeding with itself.... That's quite a lot to keep track of but it looks great. What's the pedal to the right of your kick pedal for? Where's the hole in the front bass head for a mic? The pedal on the right of the kick pedal controls an auxiliary hi-hat that has two 6" Zil-Bells on it. And I just take the front head off the bass when I record (see picture in Random Samples). What about when you play live? How do you mic it?
