alexlifeson66
Questions are... 1) Would you pay double the standard ticket price to attend a " B sides" tour ? 2) What are 10 songs that would have to be part of the setlist for this to be considered a " B sides"
JohnnyBlaze
No, I wouldn't pay double to hear Speed of Love and You Bet Your Life. I didn't pay double to hear "A Sides" soooo....

danielmclark
I wouldn't pay a penny over regular ticket price. Certainly not double. That's insane. A couple of hundred bucks to see them play Tears? No, thanks. As for what constitutes a "b side" (since they don't really release singles with b-sides, per se), I guess just think of any song that's never been played live. That's probably as close as we'll get to a decent definition.
losingit2k
No! I think the prices are too high this time around! I wouldn't pay this much for any other band! But it's my boys so I dished it out. As for the 10 B-Side Songs I would like to hear on tour! Even though I don't think Rush has B-Sides more like commercial and non commercial! Here Again Beneath, between and Behind The Necromancer Something for Nothing Cygnus X-1 Circumstances Jacobs Ladder The Camera Eye The Weapon Kid Gloves Actually that concert would rock looking at the list above! alexlifeson66
Seriously guys... I don't think I've heard from the real fans yet... Even if the tickets were $400 each, and they tour every 4 years...thats $100/year or just over $8/month.

savagegrace26
Would you prefer a 90 minute "b-sides" type show or a "regular" 2.5 hour show at the same price?
micgtr71
Don't know. I'm already paying 10X what I paid for my first Rush show. Think I'd wait for the DVD. If the set list contained Fountain, Necromancer, Losing it, and Chemistry, I just may shell out the dough.
Tick
On point A. No. This would have been a better thread if you just asked to list your picks for a B sides tour instead of asking if we would pay double.

I don't give a carp what it works out to over months, years or decades - I'm not spending hundreds of dollars to see them play songs that they obviously have no interest in playing. Kugel
If 1) it was a whole show, not just 10 songs; 2) it was an additional tour (sort of like the current one), and did not supersede an album-supporting tour; and 3) my income was at least 50k instead of no more than 15k; then yeah, I'd shill out double. Top Ten, eh? That's the most ridiculous use of mathematics I've seen in a while. If tickets were $1200 each it'd only be 10 dollars a month for 10 years. Yeah man, it's worth it!!! bruggy66
I paid over $300.00 for two tickets for this tour, and although it was worth it, it's about as high as I am will (or able) to go. I would certainly love to see at least a "B-Sides" set though. Some songs I'd love to hear: Making Memories (perhaps acoustic??) Different Strings (also acoustic) The Weapon Kid Gloves Alien Shore Turn The Page Nocturne Vapor Trail

fonzbear2000
What do you mean by b-sides? All the songs listed so far are just album tracks.
LiquidSteel
Why do I have a feeling that if RUSH came to your town and played any number of these songs, that you would still write a positive review about the show. The fact is they cant play ALL our favorite tunes. And they will play songs that some of you dont appreciate. If they had played my set list here in Omaha, it would have consisted of playing every album. Even the remastered stuff! I guess I feel this way cause it only took them 19 years to play again in Omaha.
