JoDay
QUOTE (dweezil @ Mar 8 2005, 01:18 AM) I worked in a male dominated industry for years and the job was 7 days a week. Also my personal situation didn't allow for any friends. So, you'll have to forgive me if I don't know how to "girl talk" well, but I do have a thing for shoes/boots. Doc Martens is my fav, and even though I love some pointy girl things I don't know how to wear high heels--I fall over. Oooh, I understand u. I'm studying at BMSTU, Moscow State Tech, so granted the majority of the students is male, and the girls who happen to study with me have no sense of style! I don't care for fashion, I care for style... my style's known to drive my Mom crazy but... I understand u fully about falling over!! I wear all kinds of hilarious platform shoes tho. This winter I have a nice pair of Rovers which look really original given that I wear a pretty and nice khaki 'artificial suede suit' - a tight jacket and a long skirt, something people expect to lead to high heels... but no... plus I wear these 'damned studded wristbands' of the metalhead/S&M type... (picture that) and it's not summer yet, when I go into full throttle... one crazy Elf here... Every now and then I get cool items (Carnaby and Strange happen to yield most of them), but not as frequently as I'd like. Few really interesting things here. I should have been born in the 60s as far as fashion goes to grow up during the 70s. Or 80s. Those times were cool (especially if we remember how guys used to look). I don't know a single guy now who has any taste in clothing! Don't know married guys of this type as well. They are the victims of fashion, not us girls!! GhostGirl
My newest little darlings...they got to go to California with me. It's hard to tell from the pic, but they have these tiny little rhinestone accents on the straps, so you might think "dressy"---but wild woman that I am, I wore them with jeans. I like the contrast ....Rolinda was gracious enough to notice them and then talk shoes with me for a bit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v297/RushBabe/Board%20Pics/peltzshoestore_1830_50740130.jpg These were part of wardrobe change #2...#3 if you count changing from my PJ's to my Trilogy-rehearsal-watching outfit. Thank you for tuning in to "Fashion Watch"---join us tomorrow when I'll be discussing the merits of boot cut vs. traditional cut jeans...

It's blonde, so no one notices but me!! Also, boot cut all the way. They're sexier. I recall really tight stovepipe leg jeans They looked pretty bad on peeps with huge arses. I had a pair I called quick f**k jeans --the zipper went all the way from the front to the back. They were uncomfortable and dangerous.

I used to think so too, Dweez...but that was before I discovered V-strings from Victoria's Secret. Now, those are my favorites, with boy shorts coming in second. Of course, at times the occasion/outfit demands the commando. Plain old panties=BORING
