anagramking
I got a question. How does the Academy decide the winner of a Lifetime Achievement Award? Anybody know? Thanks.
anagramking
Very happy to see Jamie Foxx win best actor. He was 1:5 to win on the books. You had to bet 5 to win 1. Disappointed that Natalie Portman didn't win for best supporting actress. She was phenomenal in Closer. Otherwise, I didn't see enough of the films up there, so I can't say much else. neilpeart_gal
I still like to look at the dresses. I can't wait for my US magazine this week. I'm so shallow. And what the hell was Johnny Depp thinking when he got dressed? "I'd like to look as goofy as possible, please"?
GhostGirl
I'm with you, NPG...I love to see the clothes. Renee Zellweger looked awful, IMO. Johnny Depp looked like a caricature of himself. I loved Hilary Swank's gown, and Tim Robbins looked like he just rolled out of bed, as usual...and he was still hot.

Sodoff Baldrick
I think a higher up member of the Academy nominates a person to receive the lifetime award, then some committee approves it. I seem to recall that's how it went when Elia Kazan got his a few years ago.
GhostGirl
QUOTE (neilpeart_gal @ Feb 28 2005, 11:53 AM)Tim Robbins, hot?? I think so! He's definitely cute, if HOT is too strong a word. Besides, he's tall, and I like tall guys. http://www.movies-on-dvds.com/Tim_Robbins.jpg
