Xanadu93
King Troll, you have been upstaged with the setlist I present right now. Plus, you think Rivendell and Goin' Band suck - you are not a true Rush fan if you think like that! For the album - Rush will do Feedback 2, but they will be performing songs by a band that seemed to have a large influence on their music - and that band is Yes. Here's the tour setlist. It's epicocity is mindblowing. Firebird Suite/Siberian Khatru Heart of the Sunrise And You And I/Hope (extended version - Alex solo) Long Distance Runaround/The Fish (Geddy and Neil extended jam) Awaken -INTERMISSION- Tempus Fugit Close To The Edge On The Silent Wings of Freedom Make It Easy/Owner of a Lonely Heart Final Eyes The Gates of Delirium Yours Is No Disgrace ENCORE: I've Seen All Good People Roundabout Starship Trooper

apetersvt
QUOTE (King Troll @ Oct 25 2008, 05:59 PM) Set 1: All of All of Fly by Night - bar Rivendell Set 2: All of Caress of Steel - bar Lakeside Park All of 2112 Encore: Xanadu La Villa Strangiato Subdivisions. Nobody, but nobody could argue with that as being the best Rush setlist ever. Well I suppose you could, but your profile would probably be: 12 years old, An American and dead from the neck up. Edit: Add Lakeside Park back in and take out I Think Im Going Bald Subdivisions??? Why put a new song in the setlist? Substitute with Farewell To Kings. Subdivisions2004
It's hard to think of the perfect setlist, so I'll just list the first one that comes to mind. I'll go with 30 songs, as that seems to be realistic. 1. The Big Money 2. Distant Early Warning 3. Mission 4. Marathon 5. Freewill 6. Circumstances 7. The Trees 8. Red Barchetta 9. Roll The Bones 11. Workin' Them Angels 12. Dreamline Intermission 13. Anthem 14. The Main Monkey Business 15. Driven (w/ Bass solo) 16. One Little Victory 17. Subdivisions 18. Closer to the Heart 19. Force Ten 20. Animate 21. YYZ (w/ Drum solo) 22. Hope 23. La Villa Strangiato 24. Far Cry 25. Xanadu 26. 2112 Overture/The Temples Of Syrinx 27. Medley (By-Tor/Finding My Way/In The Mood/Working Man) Encore 28. Limelight 29. Tom Sawyer 30. The Spirit Of Radio I tried to be as realistic as possible, keeping some stuff from Snakes & Arrows as well as the usual songs. Then I added in some old ones as well as some others I'd personally like to see live.
Show Don't Tell
QUOTE (Rushlover13 @ Jan 23 2009, 05:50 PM)2112 (Full, QUOTE (Rushlover13 @ Jan 23 2009, 05:50 PM) minus Discovery)
Subdivisions2004
I just noticed I missed Natural Science in my setlist, I can't believe I forgot that. Perhaps I'd replace Closer to the Heart with that. Also, I thought Digital Man worked well as the second song of the night, so perhaps that could rotate on random nights with Distant Early Warning.
