I know. It makes no sense. But he's taken a lot of criticism after his last performance, so I guess I just want him to shut the critics up.

(As if it really affects MY life at all!)

Maybe sometime in the next 20 years or so, the 'BR' logos on the podiums will be replaced with an 'NP!'  wink.gif

BTW: Was I the only one who caught the 'NP' logo on Neil's bass drum??? confused13.gif

Talk about 'premonition!' Egad!! ...Sometimes I really do scare myself!!! yes.gif wink.gif

That was SO awesome. I can actually tell a big difference in this performance and the one from 12 years ago. He had more of a feel for the big band style this time around.

And he really seemed to be having fun. I saw some smiles there.

I am still trying to process the sound of YYZ on a clarinet, though!

How did everyone like the orchestral version of YYZ?  smile.gif

I think YYZ might translate to bigband fairly well; but this version could've used a bit more polish...

Great to see Neil having so much fun, though.

Anyone could see that he was really getting a kick out of doing this thing. yes.gif

I enjoyed Chad's performance, but I don't think he even attempted to go for the traditional big band sound. Bozzio was fun to watch, but he was really unhappy with the way he played.

Boy, was that a Rush crowd there or what??? Would've been cool if Geddy had guested on bass!

LOVED IT! I was thinking through the whole thing...How can I get a copy of this???

MAESTRO-

Totally caught the NP on the drumset. Very nice new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

This was a live stream.

During the backstage pre-show at 'The Drum Channel,' they were saying the show will be available for download in about a month with a DVD to follow.

I'll be going there for an update in the near future.

ORQ: 'Man... ...wow... ...man... what a show!' smile.gif

Just got home from the show and wow, what a great time I had. I took loooooooooads of videos and pictures, there will be another thread with all of them in it probably in it. It was def a Rush crowd as the people around me were from Toronto. I would say the top 3 performances of the night, in my and crowd response goes

Neil Peart

Chad Smith

John Blackwell/Tommy Igoe

John Blackwell was def the star of the first half

Look formy review tomorrow!

I had an extremely good time, despite the group of obnoxious drunk people sitting directly behind me.

My favorite performers were:

John Blackwell. I had no idea who this guy was. He blew me away.

Tommy Igoe. Again, I wasn't familiar with him. Now I am.

Neil Peart. It's not his genre, but he held his own. I loved the big band version of "YYZ".
