mfratt Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Excuse me while I go practice my bass skills. Geddy's badassery is getting me pumped to work on playing insane bass lines really fast.
snowdog2112 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 QUOTE psh im still outraged at what songs they skipped... just damnnn I knew they were going to have to cut about half an hour out, I was just curious what they'd cut. I think with those five songs gone they can probably fit the rest in from here on out.
Lerxstforever Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 QUOTE (mfratt @ Sep 29 2008, 07:51 PM) Excuse me while I go practice my bass skills. I was able to watch only a few songs without grabbing my bass and practicing my Rush bass lines. Geddy is just too amazing

As soon as the commercial came on, I sprinted upstairs to grab my bass.
PhilCastro Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 QUOTE (mfratt @ Sep 29 2008, 09:33 PM) Wasn't Alex's rant censored on the dvd? That was on ASOH
mfratt Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Im upset that they cut out The Pass. One of my favorites Although, it just doesn't sound right on the Fender...he should have broken out the old Wal for that song.
snowdog2112 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Hmmm, the original schedule also showed R30 in a three hour block so I'd assumed it would be the full dvd but now on my TV it shows it in a two and a half hour block which means songs will be cut from it too.
Queen of Megadon Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Sep 29 2008, 08:34 PM) I hate the "rants". I the rants!

snowdog2112 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Well, I'm at the point of acceptance that we're not going to see the S&A Live dvd promo. I'm still glad the band's getting this much attention. Maybe somebody out there who never gave Rush a chance will be impressed with the live footage and check them out.

Who said they were going to show this?
snowdog2112 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 QUOTE S&A Live DVD promo? Who said they were going to show this? Yesterday we learned that the upcoming Snake & Arrows Live DVD would be released this coming November 18th. I now have several more details about the release to report including confirmation that it will be available on Blu-ray! It will be a 3-disc package which will include 2 discs containing footage from the Rotterdam shows from the 2007 leg and a bonus DVD. The bonus DVD will contain footage from the Atlanta show on the 2008 leg (Red Barchetta, The Trees, Ghost of a Chance and 2112), alternate versions of Far Cry and The Way the Wind Blows either from the other Rotterdam show or the Atlanta show, the What's That Smell intermission video (along with outtakes and a trailer), outtakes from the 2007 tour and Red Sector A from the R30 Tour. Promos for the DVD will be running on VH1 Classic during their Rush Hashanah special this coming Monday, September 29th. This is all I know right now. More details as I learn them. http://www.rushisaband.com/
The_Analog_Kid Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 omg i should be in bed! i have school tomorrow! but i can't leave RUSH HASHANAH!
nfcsaints Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 SPOILER of the VH1 Classic Rush Video Block!!!!!!! If you don't want to know, then don't read any more!!! 5 4 3 2 1 1 hour video block included the following: Countdown Closer to the Heart - From Different Stages Limelight Tom Sawyer - Exit Stage Left Distant Early Warning Roll the Bones The Big Money Time Stand Still Marathon Man - Yes, that's right....they introduced it as "Marathon Man" from A Show of Hands. It was a cut edit of Marathon. Lock and Key Not a bad mix. Hopefully some different videos during the next block.
jkt2112 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I am royally pissed off... I pay $200 per month for cable and internet access with Charter... The Classic VH1 channel comes up blank.... That is f__king wrong...
circumstantial tree Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I was disappointed that when they started R30, they cut out the intro with all the album covers.
craig34 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Is this special only aired in Canada, because I've been watching VH1 and haven't seen a single thing as far as Rush is concerned. Any feedback?
