OK going with the cops are dicks with traffic enforcement them I have to tekk this story.

My mom was going 1 mile an hour over the speed limit about a year ago and a cop pulled her over. He was a real dick too. She had never gotten a ticket before and the cop acknowledged that. He still gave her the ticket. When the whole thing was over my mom realized that she had pulled over onto gravel. So she spun her tires and spun gravel up onto the cops hood. The look on that guys face was priceless. rofl3.gif

robbing a bank, or murders and dealing drugs

many might already be doing this to their plates. It's not like you want to encourage people to alter their plates

Your mom is awesome. What a badass move!

But seriously, I understand why they do what they do, but doesn't our world have greater issues then if we have a sticker on our plate?

I think that cop needs to have his wings clipped a bit. It was a question mark. Not a number or a letter.....There is no big deal about it. Just another pig with a big chip on his shoulder and completely drunk with power.

Big brother is alive and well in the land of freedom.

Frankly, tampering with your plates should allow the cops to give you one truncheon shot. I hope the judge is as harsh as possible on you. Sorry.

Wow....what a dick!

Drivin into work last friday, a police car pulls up behind me & light's me up. I pull over & He come up & asked for license/ins/reg & ask's me if I was the one who altered my license plate. ( I have a personalized plate of GOTRUSH, but i attached a Question mark ? at the end with a sticker, so i kinda looks like GOTRUSH? ) well i say sure, the older officer informs me this is a "Criminal Offence" and i explain its been there for 4 years & i have had various encounters with law enforsment & nobody ever told me i should remove it ! ( my son is a county Sheriff Officer ) Then he tells me i'm lucky he doesn't take me to JAIL ! jezzz.... the more i spoke the madder he got. He ended up writing a Criminal Ticket for " Knownly Displaying Altered Plates" with a court date on monday june 16th. I haven't yet checked into the penalty/fine for this.  sad.gif

they took pictures & removed the sticker like it was the crime of the century. there was 3 cars & 5 cops at one point ! what a Joke ! oh yea this happened here in Phoenix @ about 8am.

I'm not sure if I want to fight this ticket, or if that's gonna piss the Judge off worst, plus I would have to take time off work & deal with the stupid court process, Thinkin on asking for a postponment & then set another court date & maybe the officer won't make it to court.......

Cops are great when you need them, but otherwise they can sure suck sometimes...

Pfft, when are they ever there when you need them?? sarcasm.gif

He could have just asked GR to remove the sticker, he didn't have to get in a tizzy about it..

I agree with Jaye. They could have said hey Bro remove the ? and be done with it. But, at the same time what you did was not wise! tongue.gif

If you have a child, I hope you see it run over and killed by a hit and run driver. You see the plate on the car, take it down and report it to the Police. The plate has had it's lettering tampered with, the rozzers can't trace it, your child's killer cannot be found. That is a good reason why plates shouldn't be tampered with.

Dick.

Blessed be.

Yeah, sorry, I have to go with altering your license plate is not a smart move. I know you did it because you thought it was cool, but the police have to wonder why you are trying to alter your license plate. Trying to make a smooth getaway?

Yeah and questioning the cop, telling him he didn't know what he was talking about, not a smooth move.

It's no big deal, we all make mistakes. I think you should just man up, pay the fine and move on. Lesson learned.

and here's an excuse to use one of my favorite quotes of all time.

"Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves back up again."

I'm gonna go ahead and say you weren't right for altering your plates, but what would have been wrong with the cop asking you to remove it and call it that? seems a lot easier than setting up all this court shit, costing the city money. I dunno....people over-react to too many things.

Cop musta not been a Rush fan laugh.gif

What kind of a spastic ridiculous statement is that? The guy puts a question mark on his license plate and you want his child ran over? Where's the symmetry in that?

You are quite the sheep there, now ain't ya?

His statement should have been an example instead of directly wishing his kid is run over. wink.gif

To be clear, he want's the guy who called the other guy a dick to have his child killed, not the original poster.

I think the question is why does he want anyone's child killed?

there has been plenty of time to edit or explain and.....nothing.
