-D-RocK-
I love my TV, but I could very easily get along without it.
Maddy
The one thing I wouldn't want to do without is the traffic & weather channel. We've got a local cable channel that does weather and road updates every two minutes 24 hours a day. (Only radio station that does that doesn't cover our area - only towards NYC.) It's great to know before you leave the house that you need to take an alternate route because there's yet another accident at Rt. 52 and the Taconic.... Drumnut
I killed a TV about a month ago, but not on purpose!
subdivider79
Considering that I don't own a television, I'd have to say yes...that would be an easy endeavor for me. I'm one of the lucky few who hasn't been zapped of life by the television.

third hand grace
QUOTE (hope70 @ Jun 7 2008, 12:06 PM) QUOTE (third hand grace @ Jun 7 2008, 12:03 PM) I went a year w/out tv. It was liberating. since then I have not watched nearly as much. How did you go a year without tv? It wasn't like I was in thejungle or anything. I had just broken up w/ my girlfriend, had just moved into a new place, and didn't wnat to be stuck in front of a tv because some lame tv show got me hooked. I wanted to go out, I wanted to do things. I got into the best shape of my life as a result (better then when I played college fb). I read tons of books. I highly rec it! I really want to shut down the tv for a long period of time, except when some good sports are on, and dive into reading alot and getting more exercise. Doesn't sound hard, but a commitment. I really hate tv with all the trash that's shown, but sometimes I get so freakin bored and lazy.

Hatchetaxe&saw
Easily. There are more and more channels available, but the quality drops with every new channel. But living without music for a month would make me a tad unbalanced......
madra sneachta
No TV for a month? Not a problem (unless of course the new series of Lost has started). As liong as I have radio, music and the 'net, TV is very low on the list of priorities. No internet for a DAY?? Major issue. Our broadband went down last week for about 16 hours, that was hard!!!!
