Everything Your Listeners....

"Everything Your Listener Ever Wanted to Hear by Rush, but You Were Afraid to Play" is indeed one of the rarest Rush records out there. Goldmine lists it at $150.00 in Near Mint condition. I've been looking for it everywhere, but I've never been able to find it. Grab it up if you see it, you'll likely never see one again.

My best friend, who is also a big RUSH fan, has a copy of it. When he was in college back in the 80's he started working as a DJ on the university radio station. There was a copy in the record catalog and he snatched it out when he left.

I can't remember the condition, but I seem to think it was pretty beat up.

The title of it is quite misleading. I would much rather hear The Necromancer than most of the stuff on there... laugh.gif

But anyway yep it's a super rare piece and anyone who owns one is a very, very lucky person. Shame that a lot of stuff like this is totally disrespected. When a radio station shuts down or has a clear out they either give everything away or throw it out, giving it away there's no knowing who'll end up with it and if they know how precious it is, throwing it away speaks for itself. sad.gif

Anyone got Rush Through Time? A similar concept of a compilation of the more comercial Rush material although this one was more readily available and more updated;

Once again nothing special in terms of tracklisting but I would love to own it.

I have that LP

Oh wow! Can you give us some back story? How did you come across it? How much did you pay?

I have "through time".

I had "Everything..." in my hands and then didn't shell out the $ at a record show. It was my biggest Rush purchase mistake.

I have a copy of "everything your listeners ever wanted to hear by Rush but you were too afraid to play" I got it a couple of years ago. Can't remember the price exactly but don't think it was too expensive at the time. If someone can give me a hand with what to do I have taken a couple of pictures of it I will try to upload them to here but haven't a clue how to without a little help lol.

By the way if anyone wants to check out my reviews for Prog Archives you can do so at;

http://www.progarchives.com/Collaborators.asp?id=17937

Quite a few Rush reviews on there, I've been promising myself to write about someone else soon!

Your reviews are really good! I agree with you that In Through The Out Door gets nowhere near enough credit.

I like how it says "Closer to the Heart will be the group's sixth LP." Apparently they hadn't finalized the title for "A Farewell to Kings" when this record was released.

As for Rush Through Time, there's a copy of it down at a record store I go to a lot. They only want $8 for it, I should go get it. It's been there for about 4 years, so it's probably not going to go anywhere soon.

Are there any other weird rare records like this on the go anyone on here has?

There are a fair amount of bootlegs;

www.digitalrushexperience.com

Is a cool site to check them out, although they are all basically just live shows on there.
