Ru5h F@n
This movie was awesome. Peter Weller did a fantastic role in the first two movies and Nancy Allen was great as his partner. Kurtwood Smith played a superb villian as well in the first movie.

ReRushed
I love Robocop. But, where Robocop succeeded at satire, Robocop 2 was just sadistic. Robocop 3 is mediocre, at best.
-D-RocK-
One of my favorite lines in Robocop: Robocop: "Come quietly or there will be.........trouble"
GeddyRulz
I was thinking of starting a Robocop thread, too. A special edition DVD was released recently. Like many, I was pleasantly surprised by Robocop. I was brought to the theatre kicking and screaming, but I loved it! Great story, great villians (the sadistic Clarence Boddiker and the sleazy corporate guys), and a satiric commentary on our times - with the corporation "owning" the police department for one example, and life imitating bad television (the TV catch phrase "I'd buy that for a dollar!") for another. Anyway. Great movie. I've seen it dozens of times, but wisely stayed away from the sequels.
Jack Aubrey
I love 'Robocop' but I haven't seen the sequels because I heard they suck. 'Robocop' is my second favorite Peter Weller movie after 'Buckaroo Banzai'. Remember that one? "Laugh-a while you can-a, monkey-boy!" Edit: I don't have 'Robocop' on DVD but I'm probably going out later today. Looks like a Best Buy run might be in order! 1-0-0-1-0-0-1
My fave moment from "Robocop" was towards the end of the movie when Boddicker meets up with his buddies to show off his new 6000 SUX car and his new rocket launcher. The Paul McCrane character takes the launcher, blows up a store and says, "IIIIIIII LIKE IT!"
LoneStar Boogie
Definitely a great movie, though I haven't really seen it since it came out.
floydfanatic111
Robocop ruled. Both sequels sucked! Some movies that trumped the originals IMHO were Beverly Hills Cop II (better than first IMHO), Another 48 Hours, Terminator 2, Aliens, Child's Play 2 (this trumped the first one), Sudden Impact and The Dead Pool. workingcinderellaman
I loved that movie as well. I liked it when robocop is giving the miranda to Kurwood Smith as he's beating him to a pulp. I liked the defective robot that Omni Consumer Products makes. (Ed-209) It was a funny movie in a dark way. Edit: I found this on youtube. There was another version that shows ED-209 shooting the executive but I think it's a bit gory. What makes the scene funny is after ED-209 shoots the guy with two machine guns for 30 seconds, someone says, "Will someone call a paramedic?"
