barney_rebel Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Why them? What is the big deal with these guys? My brother and sister-in-law swears by them for their kids. I tried watching it with them and thought it was so awful..
barney_rebel Posted December 20, 2004 Author Posted December 20, 2004 I just realized I posted this in movie - Admins, please move.
Jack Aubrey Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 It's fine for you to post that here, actually. TV discussion is fine. May I leave it in here?

Digital Man Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 I have a 6 year old, & she's never liked the Wiggles.
Pags Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 My girls went through their stint of Wiggle watching. It seems to have passed now. I actually get embarrassed for them I would never be able to go out there and do that. I hear they own much of the production rights and they make a bundle from the show.

My sons went through a short period of watching, and I felt the SAME way...how can four grown men ACT like that?

1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 QUOTE (kazzman @ Dec 20 2004, 11:02 PM) WTF are the Wiggles? You don't want to know, man! RUN AWAY!!!!!
Pags Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Dec 20 2004, 11:18 PM) QUOTE (kazzman @ Dec 20 2004, 11:02 PM) WTF are the Wiggles? You don't want to know, man! RUN AWAY!!!!! Yeah he's right Kazz - you're much better off not knowing.
RazorsEdge Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 It's the music. It has hypnotic powers over some children. When you have a frenetic 2-year-old and you find ANYTHING that makes him sit still for 20 minutes, you will love it.
GhostGirl Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Dec 20 2004, 10:18 PM) QUOTE (kazzman @ Dec 20 2004, 11:02 PM) WTF are the Wiggles? You don't want to know, man! RUN AWAY!!!!!
neilpeart_gal Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 I must admit I dunno what the Wiggles are either. Guess I'm lucky!
Sodoff Baldrick Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 They are an Australian quartet who sing kid songs. The have a show on the Disney Channel. I watched it for three seconds. Bring back the Electric Company, somebody.
RushRevisited Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 Yeah we have banned the wiggles in our house - they are tooooo frickin weird man.... Will stick to Dora the Explorer, Blues Clues, and Comfy Couch
Quyn Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Dec 20 2004, 05:05 PM) QUOTE (paganoman @ Dec 20 2004, 03:55 PM) My girls went through their stint of Wiggle watching. Kinda like how "Joe" from Blues Clues could be really creepy if he wasn't on a kid's show. What can I say ... I have a four year old niece who adores him!!

barney_rebel Posted December 21, 2004 Author Posted December 21, 2004 Back in my day there was "Could be you" or whatever with Commander Tom. The Electric Company rocked - but not as good as Sesame Street. Reading Rainbow was cool, but I was way too old by then.

RazorsEdge Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 Well, I'll still take the Wiggles over the Teletubbies and the frickin' Boo-Bah's any day...those were banned in our house... *shudder*
