He's probably referring to things like the long-time sign on Interstate 65 in Alabama that read "Go to church or the devil will get you." Well-intentioned, but extremely misplaced in its theology.

Great. Now I HAVE to come to Alabama just to see that. tongue.gif laugh.gif

Not to take this into a CP style theological discussion, but there is no Scripture that says one must attend church or suffer Hell as a result of not going.

Stop being legalistic or the devil will have and keep you! (to the writer of that sign).

They're "Rulers Under Satan's House", remember?

And remember that the sum of 2112 is 6.

You know...666.

There's also the pentagram...

At the risk of being pernickity, the 2112 symbol is NOT a pentagram.

A pentagram is a five pointed star which is drawn with five straight strokes.

You know Madra, I was going to bust on you for misspelling persnickety, for I thought there was a great deal of irony in that. So I looked it up, and I found this. (Dictionary.com saved me from looking like an idiot.) But, in the interest of self-effacement and humility, I thought I would let you know about it. wink.gif

So right now, I'm just going to sit down and be quiet. cool.gif

I saw a ceiling in the pic too. Perhaps that means "we need to break free" from our sheltered lives.

What's more, there is a wall. With bricks.

An obvious Pink Floyd rip off, suggesting that Neil is travelling down the Roger Waters route of alienation, and the spit is about to hit the fan.

Or maybe not!!!!!.

I think I'll have a little lie down.

Bottom line, we see what we want to see.

My big fear for the new album is that the lyrics will be filled with cliched Christianity bashing. I hope Neil's lyrics will rise above that.

Let them bash I say!!! Bash those christian loonies!! Bash Neil bash!!!

A visit anywhere is worth it, if for nothing else to verify or dismiss pre-conceived notions.

I thought the guy took it down a few years ago. Haven't traveled that way on 65 in some time, so I can't say for sure. It was near one or possibly two retention ponds between Prattville and Clanton on the northbound side.

I remember, as a young teenager, bringing my Moving Pictures album over to my mom's house. She saw the cover and shrieked, "That's demonic!" wacko.gif
