QUOTE (Red Porschetta @ Jun 3 2005, 04:08 PM)
"Attention all planets of the Solar Federation, we have CONSUMED A TROLL!"

Never actually thought he said it, but I still hear it now and then.

And as originally replied by ES-335:

"BURP tongue.gif "

And it still cracks me up

Having time to think this through thoroughly, I've managed to come up with an expanded list of my misheard lyrics (if some have been posted before, please excuse me)

By-Tor and the Snow Dog:

'A cold, black wraith

Shivering with hate."

Bastille Day:

"Sing now choirs of good company"

Spirit of Radio:

"Invisible airwaves crackle with life

Bright antennae glisten with the energy"

Freewill

"All through your days

A prisoner in chains"

Jacob's Ladder

"Bruised and sullen stormclouds

Has the light of day obscured"

Tom Sawyer

"Always hopes for your discontent"

red Lenses

"says the national midnight star

(let's go)

Superconductor

"or his straight illusions"

Ghost Rider

"Riding on an english quest

Haunting that wilderness road"

I just read all 14 pages of this thread, and I was constantly checking lyrics like "You mean thats not what they say?"

The only one I could add is in Totem

Seasonal migrations, daily variations

World of the unlikely and bizarre

I heard

World of the unlikely anthazar

Anthazar isn't even a word fing.gif

I like that word anthazar. I say, since you can't patent it, give it a meaning and create a Wikipedia entry for it. cheer.gif

Come to think of it, maybe you can patent it. Buy anthazar.com and register the name as a family business or something.

Earthshine - "Circles show... in a dozy-do..."

RiR right now reminded me of that one...

A perfect lunar essence

It made sense when I heard it.

I'm fifteen, I think the only thing I can use anthazar for is my next AIM screenname, or a character in an English paper.

I feel my spirit resist

So I open up my ferrets

Lay hand over hand over...

I've read the lyrics on the site and in the album jacket, but I still here it like this. biggrin.gif

In the analog kid...

"Open sea and city lights

Busy streets and dizzy heights

You call me a commie"

fing.gif

Everytime I listened to the song I was thinking "how does this have anything to do with communism?" rofl3.gif

Then I read the lyrics... ph34r.gif

I thought of another one. Working Man

I've got no time for women yes
I'm workin' all the time.

I sang it like that for 5 years. doh.gif

Hmm... Makes sense enough to me, I guess I might have made the same mistake myself.

In Red Barchetta,

Correct lyric:

Sunlight on chrome, the blur of the landscape, every nerve aware....

What I originally thought:

blah blah blah, blah blah blah, every little where. doh.gif

As a hawk goes soaring by

I thought it was.....

His mother starts to call him

As his heart goes storming by wacko.gif
