Rush!
I like Led Zeppelin but I've gotten bored of them recently. I'm really only a fan of their early stuff from the debut up to Zoso. Nearly the entire Zoso album was killed by radio, especially with Rock & Roll, & Stairway To Heaven. I like some of their stuff from HOTH & PG, but anything past PG I haven't heard. circumstantial tree
I love Zeppelin. I have to say that Led Zeppelin III and IV are my favorites. I highly recommend you get their DVD collection. It's just called Led Zeppelin.

treeduck
Yeah Led Zep are great and along with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath were the pioneers (if not the creators) of hard rock/heavy metal, (maybe the Who and the Kinks were the actual creators)... PuppetKing2112
Nice thread, Allison...I think "Appreciation" is the perfect word for how I feel about Zeppelin at this point. I totally "appreciate" that they are one of the greatest and most influential rock bands of all time, and that they have a ton of classic songs and albums. I have Houses and Physical Graffiti on vinyl. However, I've kind of had my fill of them. Before I ever bought a Zeppelin CD, I had already heard all their songs about 800 times on the classic rock station here, because Zeppelin are their Beatles. Occasionally a song does come up on shuffle and I enjoy it, but I never find myself reaching for Zeppelin CDs, nor have I in a long time. I second the recommendation for their DVD. 5 hours plus, lots of great footage on there. Haven't watched it in about 2 years though. Love them, just burned out. Great band. Carry on. Come on. It's an appreciation thread. No negativity.
Hatchetaxe&saw
The Greatest Band Of All Time! I must dig out "DVD", haven't played it in a while. Take a break from "Replay", which has been on heavy rotation.

priest_of_syrinx
QUOTE (The Rocinante @ Aug 15 2006, 01:33 AM) what should I get next? I have Led zeppelin I-IV, and I have physical Graffiti I have even less than you, but I'd take Presence, mostly because I'm addicted to it... Some things about the album: First, listen to the regular tracklisting. Then, put them in this order: 1. Nobody's Fault But Mine 2. Hots On For Nowhere 3. Tea For One 4. Royal Orleans 5. For Your Life 6. Candy Store Rock 7. Achilles Last Stand The revised tracklisting turns it from a good to a great album. Ru5h F@n
Physical Graffitti was my favorite 2 disc album. It seemed to have some of the best music on it overall in my opinion. Disc 1 1. Custard Pie 2. The Rover 3. In My Time Of Dying 4. Houses Of The Holy 5. Trampled Underfoot 6. Kashmir Disc 2 1. In The Light 2. Bron-Yr-Aur 3. Down By The Seaside 4. Ten Years Gone 5. Nightflight 6. The Wanton Song 7. Boogie With Stu 8. Black Country Woman 9. Sick Again
