The 8 has a 9% and the 10 has an 11.2%, I believe. I normally like a stronger brew, but the alcohol taste of the 10 was a bit much and it detracted from the overall taste. The 8 was absolutely fantastic. Perfectly balanced, incredibly smooth for a beer with a 9% AC, and a phenomenal taste. The alcohol in the 10 just overpowered the rest of the taste. edit: This beer is rated #5 on BA's top 100, so my expectations were high, so that may have a little bit to do with it.
