  1. I probably won't see it because of timing. Until this very moment, I hadn't even realised it was based on the Mayas. I'll be curious to see what the Mayas and scholars think about it.
  2. I voted for "2112" quite some time ago, but at the moment, I'm on a "Tears" fix. It's so quietly passionate and beautiful.
  3. QUOTE (deadwing2112 @ Sep 21 2006, 07:18 PM)2112 is not satanic. Its not a pentagram. They would have to turn the star completly up side down for it to be a pentagram. Actually, as a Wiccan person, it is my understanding that pointing down would represent a Satanist belief system. A Wiccan/earth-based related pentagram or pentacle points up. The five points represent earth, air, fire, and water with the upward point representing spirit. The Wiccan traditions with which I am familiar do not acknowledge a devil or Satan. Satan is a Christian construct.
  4. Earthshine.....(at least at the moment, while voting)
  5. QUOTE (ladirushfan80 @ Aug 29 2006, 11:20 AM)the link is here to check it out!! Wow! Those are great! Thanks for the link! That's the kind of shopping I prefer--ordering. Last time I truly enjoyed in-person shopping was several years ago in Berlin, hitting some of the pagan shops (and taking the U-bahn to get to them) and at Ka-De-We. Malls freak me out a bit--I even seem allergic to the air--eyes get red and runny. Some malls sway on the upper levels and I get Vertigo. Scariest shopping: chaperoning the major high school band outing in which they go to the mall after the parade (the flagship university's homecoming).
  6. I don't get to watch TV very often, and when I do, it is not reality shows. I can't stand most of them. Give me a good documentary or movie on the IFC, or Stargate SG1....or...even better, Dr. Who.
  7. QUOTE (DonnaWanna @ Aug 23 2006, 11:21 PM)Rattlers freed in "Snakes on a Plane" theater prank PHOENIX (Reuters) - Life imitating art is all very well. Unless, that is, it's a movie about deadly snakes on the rampage. Wow...that's just evil....and...another reason I will be avoiding the movie. One time on Halloween a colleague's 12-year old son released a garter snake in the hallway outside our office door. I'm the one who found it, upon returning from a meeting. The poor thing was ushered back into the bag and released in the park. I used to have a rubber rattlesnake as a kid, and one of my friends terrorized another friend with it. I think if there were real or fake snakes in the theatre I'd faint dead away. Snakes in the Theatre--the sequel.
  8. Mike Oldfield Alex Lifeson Jimmy Page Mark Knopfler Robert Johnson Brian May Richard Thompson The Edge Johnny Marr Glenn Phillips David Gilmour
  9. Resist, hands down for me, but close behind are Time & Motion and Virtuality, followed by Totem and Dog Years.
  10. There is so much on this CD. I voted for Territories--love the message--would love to scream the lyrics at a few politicans. But..MP, Middletown Dreams, Marathon (used to help me pace my run), and MR (reminds me of the great game of football (soccer) played out in the sky that we see as the northern/southern lights ) are right there, too.
  11. I like the entire CD, but chose Between the Wheels...but Afterimage, the Enemy Within, Early Distant Warning, and Red Sector A are all tied.
  12. Difficult choice--I voted for NH, cos that's what it is ATM, but it could as easily have been Animate or LTTA.
  13. I watched the trailers (sort of) and the video (sort of) but with a snake phobia, don't think I can do it. But...I love the title. It's fun. Unless you're on a plane....with snakes. Yikes. At first I thought they meant snakes as in mean people. <-:
