Kudzu
Mm...yeah, "Dog Years". And "Superconductor". I love Presto, but that song is just annoying. "The Big Money" is also not a favorite of mine. And, shoot me, but "Nobody's Hero" just doesn't feel like to me, and for some reason that bothers me. I've learned to identify with a number of styles, from epic sci-fi progressive rock ala 2112 to hard progressive rock ala Moving Pictures to the style-blending mix of progressive rock, pop rock, and arena rock typical of mid-'80s to alternative pop/progressive rock ala Roll the Bones, but "Nobody's Hero" just doesn't work for me. And I agree that "Available Light" is Geddy Lee singing the best that Geddy Lee has ever sung. It's actually my favorite song (narrowly over "Freewill", which I have a deep affection for as well). Presto-digitation
I'm just now listening to TFE for the first time....and it's probably going to be something off that album. I can't believe THIS is what they followed up Counterparts with. OY VEY...!!!
Slime
While the rest of Moving Pictures owns it, I am not able to get into Red Barchetta. I'm pretty sure this will act as a sufficient counter to all of the hate of anything past HYF

The_Enemy_Within
Everyone seems to be disliking my favorite songs! Like The Pass, Time Stand Still, Vital Signs, Red Sector A, and others.. I think the lyrics to "The Pass" are amazing.. along with Red Sector A's.. Anyway my least favorite Rush songs are: - Bet Your Life (I still like it, but it gets on my nerves sometimes) - The Big Money (Again, I like it, it just gets on my nerves sometimes) - Red Lenses .. Now that song I just can't stand at all
priest_of_syrinx
For me? Well, I still need to warm up to Presto, so I won't comment on that album (though The Pass and Available Light are probably the most moving songs they've ever done) Let's see... Uhhh.... ... I can't decide!!

Kudzu
Yeah, anyone who says "The Pass" has no soul, just like big money... That song ("The Pass", not "The Big Money") holds a lot of importance and value for me because of things that friends of mine have been through. It's one of a few songs - others being "Faithfully" by Journey and "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls - that can either depress me or rejuvenate me depending on the mood...hell, or even both. mrd6376
Different Strings Digital Man Tai Shan Heresy Neurotica "Stick it Out" I have finally come to appreciate over the years, but I still think its one of their worst singles ever. Also, the lyrics to "Dog Years" are NOT stupid, but the lyrics for "Virtuality" are (musically though, that song is awesome). I think the lyrics to "The Pass" are amazing.. along with Red Sector A's.. My thoughts exactly... I used to dislike Closer to the Heart, but now I love it so much I sigged it (on a different forum). I'm not especially fond of The Big Money, but that's just in comparison to all their other 'big stuff'. The Analog Kid Kid Gloves is starting to annoy me a bit as well. Cold Fire I haven't yet 'warmed up' to Presto, as others have said, and I'm not at all fond of Feedback. But that's just because everyone else's songs suck compared to Rush's own... jnoble
My least favorite: Natural Science (I don't HATE it per se, it's just too long and never really clicked with me) Tai Shan (the synth pan flute in the beginning is a red flag indicating "Boring song ahead!") Red Tide Speed Of Love Animate (it just goes on too long and the lyrics are dumb) Virtuality (liked it initially, but boy oh boy does it sound dated now) Ceiling Unlimited (too loud fast and noisy) Peaceable Kingdom (Geddy, please sing instead of chanting) Vapor Trail (its OK in parts, but the lack of melody makes it really draggy and monotone) Nocturne (more badly produced noise from Vapor Trails) Out of the Cradle (see above) Pretty much EVERYTHING on Snakes And Arrows with the exception of Far Cry, Spindrift and MalNar. I don't like midtempo whiny songs with no hooks or melody, and I don't like an entire f***ing album of them. When Rush gets back to writing interesting songs again, please let me know. Jocky Balboa
Here's my list, in chronological order, rather than order of crapiness: I Think I'm Going Bald Digital Man (though it sounds very good on the S&A Blu-Ray) Red Lenses (worst Rush song ever, imo) Tai Shan Speed of love (Counterparts' only iffy moment, for me) Virtuality Dog Years Out of the Cradle (Vapor Trails only filler, imo) Good News First (only questionable track on S&A, for me)
HisCounterpart
I duno if I am goint to be castigated as a blasphemer here but Red Barchetta never does anything for me... Just doesn't grab me... It also probably has to do with the title. I never knew what barchetta was (sorry I'm only from Eastern Europe) and to me it sounded like some food or something.. You know, pancetta, bruchetta//Not something one'd sing about))) I was surprised to see such titles as Animate and Natural Science here. Those are two of me VERY fav Rush songs at the moment. Especially with the refernce to the lyrics of Animate - for me it's probably one of the very best lyrics Neil has ever written...
